    Changed oil. Added Lucas Oil Stabilizer. Seafoam to the gas tank. Yeah not a lot - it is 98 here today. :-/

    It was the alternator. I replaced the belt first - no joy. Replaced the alternator and issue went away. Just hope the Duralast Gold one works well.

    Replaced alternator (no more battery light at 2500 rpm), thermostat (heat seems to be better - but it is 50 out), drained power steering reservoir and replaced with fresh Lucas fluid. Just had the tires replaced (went from Toyo to Cooper Discoverer). I hope that is it for a while :)

    1999 Eddie Bauer 5.4 with 136k on it. Under WOT, at about 4500 RPM, the charging light will come on. As soon as it shifts or drops RPMs it goes off. Any ideas???

    I was thinking of replacing upper and lower control arms, etc. Essentially, I want to replace all of the bushings (as the metal pieces are still in great shape, as is the rest of the truck, no rust, no nothing... amazing)... is it easier to just do that?

    While I was on travel, my wife somehow broke the end off of the gear selector (think where the smooth part of the black end piece meets the grooved part). She glued it back on (kids told on her... bus drivers. :) )... however, since then, the OD "OFF" has not worked. I push the button...

    Has that sound on an old Suburban - was caused by oil draining out of the filter (dealer used wrong filter). Changed your oils recently?
