Yeah, luckily I don't do all that anymore, this was as a previous residence lol. That's a good point though, I hadn't thought about using it for loading my trailer and not wanting to start.
Came back to see if the new grille and headlights has grown on me...... looks worse than the first time I saw it lol. I know with mid cycle refreshes they often make the most changes to grilles/headlights but did the expedition really need touched?!?!
I too will most likely look to the...
I used to do this all the time in the AM when I left for work... my daughter's room was directly above our garage and I left at 5am. We had the belt garage door openers (very quiet) and I used to push my car in to the driveway before starting lol.
I love the look of my 22s but that's about it... I run 20" f150 rims and 275/55s in the winter, noticeable MPG, ride quality, and power difference.
My next expedition will be on 18" rims lol.
Thats a great point I hadn't considered, loading my wolverine slightly behind the rear axle will counterweight the tongue.
I think you're right, best bet is to find one locally and properly distribute the weight with my wolverine in the back.
Thanks for the help!
21B10 was done to my expedition a few months ago prior to the vct phasers being replace. I guess Ford thought they could fix a mechanical defect with a PCM reflash lol. Not only did they not fix it but mine now shudders exactly as you described.
When it does it what are your RPMs? Mine has been doing this a fair amount lately since I had my ECU reflashed by Ford, my expedition will drop down to 1200rpms and it starts to do it.
I would say at most 40lbs of luggage, a 5 gallon gas can (35lbs), my UTV tool box we carry (35lbs), aluminum race jack (40lbs). 2 adults and 2 children totaling around 500lbs including their car seats.
I think the biggest thing that would crush my tongue weight would be filling up the fresh...
Looking at a Stealth Nomad toy hauler. I'm thinking this is going to be too much with my Yamaha Wolverine X4 in the garage (1920lbs with accessories).
FRONT GAWR: 1531 KG (3375 LB)
GVWR: 3379 KG (7450 LB)
REAR GAWR: 1987 KG (4380 LB)
The combined weight of occupants: and cargo should never...
JC, did you opt for the Verde 2s over the 3s for any particular reason?
I'm between these 2 and the Defenders... Defenders appear to be out of stock atm.
It's going to be tough to beat the reliability and capabilities off road of a LC. I came from a 4runner that I did some pretty extreme stuff in and it never missed a beat.
Isn't the new LC coming with a TTV6... but not being sold in the US if I'm not mistaken.
Fwiw, I saw mention of Toyota.
I test drove a Tundra in my frustration last week.... my god what a downgrade it would be. The Ecoboost has absolutely ruined my opinion of an NA V8 engine and the way it behaves. There were slight uphill grades that this truck would down shift at normal...
Glad I found this thread. I can't wait to get rid of the Hankooks that came on my LTD, I have about 25k on them max and they are getting close to the wear bars... might be able to finish the summer on them. This is with regular 5k mile rotations.
Is anyone else noticing major cupping on their...
They did my software update at one point too while it was in for inspection, they didn't even tell me until I picked it back up. It did nothing for mine fwiw, hopefully it has a better effect on the 2020s. I just fail to see how a software update can fix a mechanical flaw.
Take this with a grain of salt.... In talking with the dealer yesterday about a Tundra he told me they are starting to lower their prices a little on used vehicles because things are currently just sitting on their lots.
Shew, remember when manufacturers had $8,500 cash rebates on trucks before...
At one point I had leased a crew cab frontier SV that stickered at about $28,500... my payment was $260/mon (with taxes/fees) for 3 years with $3000 down (included first payment). It worked out to be around $12k total, that's the best I've done so far lol. On the flip side of that when I was...
Ugh, sorry to hear that... that's depressing. Mine has has a very similar sound to what you described when I first picked mine up.. I actually thought for a second they had made it worse. Mine seems to have gone away now at least but still have my WG rattle.
It's incredibly saddening to see so...
Depending on what state you live in it's probably even more than that too because they tax you based on what you pay for the vehicle. I'll use my county in PA as an example. 6% sales plus a 3% PA lease tax.
Payment would actually be $1,374.49 x 35 payments (typically your first one is built...
