Update:
I've had the iPhone 15 Pro for a few days now; unlike my 12 Pro which would slowly discharge and get really hot and do a self-shutdown after awhile driving with it on the charging pad while using CarPlay, the 15 just gets slightly noticeably warm and charges while I drive. I guess the...
I don't know about Poland, but here in the US a large number of stolen vehicles are brought directly to 'chop shops' where they're torn apart and sold for parts. No VIN on the parts, so no way to trace back to a stolen vehicle, plus for many vehicles the parts are worth many times the value of...
Isn't it easier to use the FordPass app? You can remote start from literally anywhere. I almost always use the app, regardless of how close to the truck, because it works over cellular and isn't vulnerable to hackers who scan key fob RF signals and use a simple cloner to drive off with your vehicle.
I'm definitely going to start plugging it in on long trips; not only for that reason, but both times my phone did a self-shutdown, I was driving somewhere new using Google maps — driving on the freeway and Google maps was suddenly gone along with driving directions....
I have a wireless charger at home that I've been using with iPhones for 3-4 years; when I'm home I keep the phone on that charger. The phone only gets very mildly warm on that charger, even if it sits on it for a couple days straight. Whole different story with the truck charging pad......
I've had the same iPhone 12 pro since I got the truck last November, and always keep it on the charging pad while driving. As many have said here, the phone can get hot enough to serve as a catalyst for a fusion reactor, but that's never caused problems until this past week: twice CarPlay just...
So far I've found:
– Pressing fan button sets the rotating knob to fan control; also can turn fan/AC off with the knob.
– When the fan is off, the temp button that used to always show the set temperature now shows 'OFF;" pressing while showing OFF re-starts the fan/AC at previous settings.
–...
Surprise surprise...
Drove and made a couple of stops this afternoon; after the 3rd stop got back in the truck and got a surprise when I went to adjust the AC fan speed:
That could be dangerous. The Hill Start Assist is a good safety feature: when you come to a stop for [unknown duration] and it engages, you can take your foot off the brake and the truck stays braked until you hit the accelerator. it does this whether or not AS/S is engaged.
