    Fuel Filter 02

It is really easy to do and just takes a couple of minutes to finish. Location - Drivers side in front of tank ( basically right where the front and rear doors meet roughly) Tools - Standard screwdriver to get the clips off and also a plastic fuel line tool. Fuel line tool can be...

Sea Foam, did I do it right?

Seafoam is a product that will "CLEAN" all of the internal combustion parts of your engine ( ie: intake, valves, pistons) it removes the carbon build up that all engines produce and makes the engine run more efficent. Seafoam does have a few restrictions but it does work in all gasoline...

front drive shaft spins even when in 2wd

Not to sure but since your truck has the setting for the A4WD your T-case is probably sending power to the front drive line ( Via the Magnetic Clutch in the T-case ) since it senses the back tires spining and the fronts are not. The reason the fronts would not spin is because you have the...

99 XLT, where's the rear heater core

+1 for burbing the system you could have a large air pocket. If that dosn't work, feel all along the lines to see where it gets cold, once you find the cold spot that is where the line is pluged. When they flushed the lines during the core change, did they flush both directions or just one...

Sea Foam, did I do it right?

If you feed it in too slowly I have noticed that it will just burn it and not get the results you want. The best way I have found is to have two people one on the key and another on the bottle. Get the truck to operating temp ( not just warm, but full operating temp) take the brake booster...

    Headlight bulb Question

Here is the exact kit that I have in mine and really enjoy it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/8000K-Blue-Bi-Xenon-9007-HID-Conversion-Kit-Hi-Lo-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem35ade9421bQQitemZ230551011867QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories It is a HID Bi-Xenon ( HID High and...

    Air suspension troubleshooting question

Not to sure about this awnser but it is worth a shot. The bags have solenoids on top of each bag, it could be that over time they have built up residue on them causing them to "stick" open a little and slowly bleed off. The other thing that I think it could be is possibly the ride height...

    Ignition key recoding

Every key has it's own unique code so yes the computer will be able to tell. When I bought my '02 it only came with one key but for $90 ( $35 Vin # cut key + $55 programing) I was able to get my second key and have now programed a third for a back up. As long as you always have two keys that...

Also Thank You for pointing out the trailer brake issue, that was something that I had forgoten to put in and I don't know why because I am very anal about checking my trailer brakes.

    Towing Capacity?

After re-reading my post I see that I may have come off really harsh and that was not my intention so I am sorry for that, I hope that I did not upset anyone. I just wanted to make sure that the point was to make sure you know your vehicles limits as to avoid a vehicle failure or an accident...

    Towing Capacity?

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! On all vehicles not only the Expy's you actually do need to find out what the truck was equiped with in order to find out what your total payload can be. The Expy's ran a few different gear ratio's in them along with the upgraded tranny cooler and so...

    Window tint %

+1 20% the hardest part is finding a shop that carries tint that matches the color of the factory tinted glass. You probably will not find a perfect color match because it is a tint film versus the factory tinted glass but you can find one that is close. Stay away from any tint film that...

    HID Lights

That pic was the first time I have had them in the snow ( southern New Mexico dosn't see alot of it ) but they worked really well, I was afraid of the snow reflecting really bad but it did not at all. As for the pillar I got that from Glow shift...

oil gauge fluctuating for no apparant reason

You can't miss it, it is conected to the oil filter adapter plate. When you pull off the filter you will see it coming off the side right above the filter ( look for a canister about 2" long with one wire on it and you got it ).

    HID Lights

I am running the 8000k Bi - Xenon ( Hi Hid / Low Hid ) as well as the 8k Hid's int he factory fogs, they do have a slight blue TINT to them but they are not a really bright blue. Around here the police will mess with you over the 10k Hid's because they say they have to much blue to them. I...

    98 expedition Heater problems

I definatly agree with Jeff's post it could be the water pump or even though you have had the thermostat changed, you could have gotten a defective T - stat ( Have seen this happen on more than a couple of occasions ). When the thermostat was changed, was there a gasket used, or was RTV...

    Headlight bulb Question

+ 1 on the HID's. I put a set on mine a year ago for $70 and it has paid for itself. Not only are they brighter with no overheating issues, but every ( and I mean every ) thing with the smallest bit of reflective material lights up ( Great for spoting COPS camping in the medians and in dark...

99 XLT, where's the rear heater core

The rear heater core is located on the drivers side rear quarter panel. If you take the plastics out of the back on the drivers side you will see the whole setup ( blend door, a/c, heat, blower motor ).

    Towing Capacity?

The best thing to do is go to your local Ford dealers parts department with your vin #. They can pull up the as built spec sheet and tell you everything your Expy came with. But the only department that can do it is the parts department.

    Coil Problem?

I would stay away from the dealer prices for sure, like I said on ebay you can get a full set for right around $100 or you could get the accel set for around $250. It is a job you can do in your drive way, don't get me wrong it will be a PITA to get to the rear coils but again can be done and...

    Coil Problem?

When they did the service did they put in new coils as well or just change the plugs? You can pick up a set of coils ( 8 ) on ebay for around $100 shipped or you can step up to like the Accel coils ( 8 ) for around $250. I have an '02 EB with the 5.4l 2wd 115k and I have a slight miss at...

I want auto headlights to turn on lights all the time

Sorry I figured it would be the same as mine which is a first gen like yours, but mine is an '02 EB. Mine has the red light next to the clouded sensor in the middle of the dash which is part of the factory anti theft and I thought that all of the first gen Expy EB's had that. My bad.

    Mach Audio System

If you left the factory amp in you are missing out big time. With just a small mono or even a small 2ch amp that sub will double it's output and make it hit really hard, you would not even belive that it is an 8" sub. It does take a bit to install it and you will have to mount it under the...
