Window tint %

What is the percent of tint on the windows on our Exped's? I want to tint it the same as the rear windows. Yes I know it is illegal for tint on the front windows but here we can get away with it.

Had mine done to match rear and it was 20%

my rear windows are now 5% and the front doors are 20%

+1 20% the hardest part is finding a shop that carries tint that matches the color of the factory tinted glass. You probably will not find a perfect color match because it is a tint film versus the factory tinted glass but you can find one that is close.

Stay away from any tint film that uses a RED DYE after a few years it will start to turn purple, just ask a lot of questions of different shops and go with the one you like the best and that offers the best waranty on the tint.

most places around here offer lifetime as long as you own the car. so if it peals fades scratches or anything else theyll replace it for free as long as you have the original receipt.

i concur with everyone else...i believe its 20%...i put 15% on top of the factory and then put 15% on the front and visor...i was living in FLA so as long as there was a contrast for the front being lighter...it was ok...in the daytime it looks like the i just added the front since its lighter...but when the sun starts to go down you cant tell...i want to blackout everything...we'll see

20%. perfect. Thanks guys. Well I was looking at these ebay $20 front window kits that you can upgrade to a better tint film. For $20 you can't go wrong. If it sucks then I will get a company my work hires to do it.

im gonna do 5% all around and do 70% on full windshield. illegal as hell but it looks good. one of the guys on here, smooth, he has 70% on his windshield and it looks good.

yeah smooths looks good. i can still seem him so he could tell the cops its the other windows making it look dark. haha but i wanna do 5% back and 15% front and 5% strip. and navy you could get away with it. military. had it done while stationed somewhere else. haha

mine is limo or 5% over factory and dark on front thinks its 15%. cant see through back windows when looking across truck and can barely see when looking through back with light coming in from windshield. love it have to keep amp light covered or i cant see out windows when backing up. guess i should put the backup sensors in that i have.

yeah im with that...i have factory backup sensors and they are great...i already have 15% on fronts...may try to go 10% on the front...5% on factory and visor
