I've got an issue with my bank one O2 also.
I tried to swap it but it's a bastard to reach on your back.
Gonna do it tomorrow on a lift and we'll see if my shaking and shuddering go's away.
Dunno if they make it for an Expy but look around on Radiator Barn web site and see if they offer a CSF with more rows in it.
I bought one for a different vehicle and it was waaaaayyy better than the other aftermarkets I've dealt with. Came with metal tanks instead of plastic and cooled a lot...
Alright I swapped in 7 motor crafts.
This took me about 40 minutes.. I'm use to removing a dog house on the vans to get to the back ones lol.
Reason I only did 7 is because I had a blow out awhile ago and it's been repaired with a new plug and sleeve so no need to mess with it.
Some of these...
I'm going with Centerline. But the time you use to make this thread and see the updates in it you could just pull the center cap off and look.
Just saying : )
X2 I've been through this.
Other thing I've been caught off guard with is holes that have been repaired with a sleeve that accepts a longer plug with a 9 1/6 socket size.
You can tell if this has been done by how long the boot is on the coil usually about 2".
Very true! I put a automatic locker in the front diff of my jeep when it was a DD. drive in 2wd like it was not there. One day got a big snow storm.. Engaged 4H and it fought with me even on slippery snow packed roads.
This is a pretty nice write up.
Thumbs up!
I still don't get why the Ford engineers thought 3 or 4 threads were good enough to hold a plug in a aluminum head was such a good idea.
In 2001 I was ripping the heads off and using heli coils and then doorman came out with a quick repair kit that I...
Somebody had a tv installed in the back head rest on the front pass seat and there's a DVD player on the floor that's been kicked around in mine.
Dose not work and never really cared to check why.
I saw a post joking around about installing a ARB in the front diff and it got me wondering.. Who and why install one on such a huge luxury SUV?
So instead of thread jacking I'd ask here.
My Jeep is locked front and rear but that's for really sketchy rock lol
Anybody else do this or is it more...
97 5.4L 183k none major. Blew one plug out awhile ago.
Driver window switch use 2 finger pressure to function.
Brakes squeak but still good.
Has O2 codes.
Rear driver door won't open from inside ( I checked the child lock)..
Replaced hood and glass struts.
Interior smells.. PO had 2 dogs...
I've been servicing the 5.4L's for years and aways threw in motor craft plats and never had any issues from them. But I'm just curious if there is anything better.
I'm replacing my plugs this weekend.
Thanks in advance.
5.4 with 183k.
Just got the correct size tires on it.
Took it on its maiden 80 mile round trip voyage last Sunday with the Jeep. Gotta say I'm impressed with the gear ratio to tow on the highway. I did not beat on it cause I like the tranny to stay cool on long steep hills I held it a 55 mph...
Some vehicles yes the stock mounts might not handle them. But on a Expy assuming in good shape, not rusted to crap they are beef enough to handle the coil shocks.
I've been thinking about this too since I tow a jeep on a trailer and it sits lower from the weight.
