Ok so i have this 1997 ford expedition that has what i'm guessing an electrical problem, When I park it for a little while... (say after work and I get home and it sits in my driveway over night) and the next morning I will have to adjust my mirrors because they moved out, also the seat has to be adjusted, I don't have to slide the seat back or forth, its just one setting... the pitch of the seat is to far up so I have to put it back down. This car is not equipped with a memory system of any kind. I don't know what it could be, I have looked everywhere, my brother said it could be a relay, but I don't know. Any guesses? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Could be a water leak, I have seen it cause all kinds of electrical gremlins so I'm sure the seat and mirror are not out of the question.

I have also read that it could be a water leak but i don't know where to look, I have looked in the fuse box but its dry and it doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere else.

Got a sunroof? Water can run down the A pillars and get in stuff.

Windshield is the most common followed by sunroof(if you have one). Unfortinently the windshield leak is not always obvious because the water leaks in and runs in a pan under the dash and the ends up dripping into the components, fuse block, GEM, etc. sometimes the leak is bad enough or it rains hard enough that the floor will be wet but often you never see it until something is toast.

I agree that a water leak is the most likely cause. I just had my windshield replaced this week because I found out all the weird electrical issues I'd been having was caused by a leak in the top center of my windshield - the water had gotten inside and flowed along a body channel (for mounting the glass) to the driver's side post, where it flowed down and into the dash - it was going right into my fuse block! The really bad thing was I never saw ANY water the entire time I was having the problems - there was just enough water getting in to make my lights and transmission shifting go wonky but not enough to leak where I'd see it.

Take your truck to a good windshield shop and ask them to do a leak test AND talk them into agreeing to waive that fee if they end up having to replace your glass - I did and ended up saving myself $85. (Total cost $215 - tested, new glass installed, lifetime leak warranty.)
