    Reclaiming MPGs on Lifted Expedition

PS I was an adjunct professor for years. My screensaver was "I didn't say it was your fault. I said I was going to blame you."

    Reclaiming MPGs on Lifted Expedition

I have to agree. FWIW, I spotted a trend between that behavior and employers. Bureaucrats, such as government inspectors, were the ones usually mystified by the real world; unable to do anything beyond throwing and parts or components at the problem until it was fixed. The ones that would dig...

    What happens in March??

in my experience with stunts like that, I have walked, as you did, and found elsewhere to do my shopping. If they try to play you once, they will never stop, even after you buy. they have shown themselves untrustworthy.

    What is your average MPG?

FWIW - I lost my mind when I had to replace the fuel pump on my F150 and was charged over 300 for it. I remember R&R fuel pumps on my first car, for about 18 dollars. I looked it up; turns out fuel injection requires high pressure, which requires a high pressure pump, which must be cooled. The...

Considering a 2004 Expedition Eddie Bauer

FWIW, about 8 months ago, I found an 04 police package 4x4 under 100k miles for right at 6 grand, that came out of a local(ish) fire department. It was so clean, it looked like a showroom specimen - I believe it was a supervisor's car that received exceptional institutional maintenance. I did...

    Headers

VERY generally speaking, long tubes = horsepower, short tubes = torque. long tubes are effective at higher RPMs than short tubes. more often than not, apparently, shorties will install easier.

    I wish I waited for 2004...

15 years later, I join the club of idiots. I've owned my 04 since last April, and this thread wised me up. I went out and tried it, and of course it works fine. I'm sure the third row will do likewise once I get power to it. thanks guys.

Can I install a third row seat?

oops, sorry - i see i never updated this. I got the seats installed, but no power connected, in time for the holidays, which was the whole point - children with new grandkids inbound and needed seating for 6, including two baby seats. I got everything I needed from an 04 EB, including seat...

possible to remove 3rd row seat?

why do people keep saying 2nd gen 3rd row is not removable? I removed the 3rd row power seats from a wrecked 04 to install in mine. they came out and went in fine, tho i have yet to connect power for them.

    Covering 3rd row seat tracks

why don't power fold seats come out? I just put some in my 04 - it's a police truck and it came without the third row. I installed power seats, because that's what I found, but I have yet to hookup the power for them.

    2nd gen SAS

If i was doing a $$$ no object project with my 04 Expy, I'd pull the body off the Ford frame and install it on a military M35 with a 12V Cummins and auto tranny. I'd mod the body as necessary to fit the frame, anticipating something like an Econoline/Expedition merger... obviously, a ton of...

    New to expeditions

that first generation remains unmatched in reliability, though the difference is not major, so long as you stay with the 2V engine. having said that, the 2nd gen has major improvements. Although the new drive-train and suspension have advantages, a major con is that they are difficult to upgrade...
