I was fortunate enough to order my Timberline without the dreaded auto start/stop. My boss bought a '22 Platinum and it has the auto start/stop and he hates it. I contacted Autostop Eliminator and they do not yet manufacture one for a '22. They offered to give me a free unit and $300 cash if...
Very happy with my 2022 Timberline headlights - Last February I rented a 2020 Expedition last winter and I couldn’t even tell if the headlights were on! Vastly improved for 2022.
Just a couple of comments - I use the largest group size that will fit in the battery tray and I have many CTEK battery tenders on all my vehicles. The AGM charging profile is different than a normal flooded acid battery - get the charging profile from the manufacturer and charge accordingly...
It should have come from the factory with the blacked out trim - I dont think I had mine 1 week before I wrapped all the chrome trim gloss black. Looks good.
No - the SEMA build actually used Method 309's. I have to recheck but I believe they are a +18
Oh - Just realized you are referring to the Ford Timberline build - I was referring to the LGE-CTS SEMA build!
Earlier in this thread I posted a pic with my Raptor's 35x12.50x17's on the Timberline. They are +34. It looked pretty tight - I may revisit in the future but decided to run my stock wheels with 295x70x18's
If I was starting from scratch I would go with 17's. I have 17's on my Raptor and Rubicon and they have tons of choices with tires and airing down will get you about anywhere. With my Timberline I wanted to keep my 18" wheels so that's the only reason I didn't go to 17's
I'm actually going to add some spacers (or buy new wheels) when I add the body colored fender flares. Really like the look of that SEMA Expedition and am moving toward that profile.
I have a 2014 Raptor with the 6.2. Its much stronger than the new Tahoe 6.2. Compared to my Timberline the initial off throttle response is better in my Raptor but the Timberline really picks up a around 2k rpm and pulls hard.
Today I had a chance to drive back to back my Timberline and a co-workers 2022 6.2 Tahoe Z71. I actually spec'd the Tahoe for this co-worker. The Tahoe feels slightly smaller and a little sportier when sitting in the drivers seat. You immediately notice the seat is firmer and the steering...
KO2's have always run small - I have had 2 sets one on my Raptor and one on a new TRD 4Runner. I believe the KO2's would be better than the Ridge/Recon's if you deal with snow. I also had a Terra G2 on a Tahoe and they were good tires. Right now I have 2 sets of Ridge Grapplers - both 35's on...
Mounted 295/70/18 Recon Grapplers - no clearance issues. Big improvement from OEM. I was prepared to modify fender liners but will wait to see what I need after flexing.
Nice mods - did the chrome black out and getting my 295's on tomorrow. I agree with you on the seat belt warning - I wish it would start at 10 mph. I stop in my driveway to check the mailbox and when I get back in it immediately stats dinging...really - I'm in my driveway stop it already.........
Granted I have had my Timberline for only 11 days - no issues with Carplay with my iPhone 12 pro. When I drove my Raptor today I really felt like the system was antique. Get the 15" screen and learn to use it.
So I mounted one of my 35x12.5x17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the Timberline. I think the wheels are 17x8.5 34mm . Actually was surprised there was as much clearance. If I was going to run that combo I would pull back the fender liners. I think I just decided I'm going to run a 295 rather than...
