posting again
2000 EB, just rolled 196K, 5.4 working on rear upper trailing arms now, busted them loose with pb blaster, sprayed them 4 times, once per day and let soak overnight till parts arrived, 24"-1/2" drive breaker bar and a box end. And a lot of ibuprofen afterward. This thing has never...
Been awhile, but I finally got around to postin the pics of the old suspension. 11 yr old vehicle, original suspension.

No it won't. The Airbags in the rear take place of the coils. The front's don't have springs either. They are air shocks. If you swap the whole system out to non air suspension, then they may work.

Now just imagine the damage if that car hit you. Or if you hit them. I recently bought a Neon to drive back and forth to work, the expy was killin me in gas, and it's like a go cart compared to the expy. I definatley feel safer in the Expy.
Alright, back to the torsion twist. Is it best to have the Expy on the ground, or to lift it up then crank?
Measure from the ground to the highest point of the wheel well while on the ground?
2000 Expedition Eddie Bauer NO AIR RIDE, strutmaster conversion.
Any advice/ help would be awesome.
Multimeter is a great tool to have for things like that. Get a good one if you don't already have one. I've had mine for 14 years and it comes in handy when I need it.
The bags rode a lot nicer. But it's a good kit. And I saved a #$%& ton of money doing it myself. I'm happy with it. The rear end sits great. Only thing left to do is a torsion twist. I'd like the front to sit a little higher.
It still has shocks on the rear. The coils take the place of the airbags. I would advise changing the shocks out when you ditch the bags. My bags and shocks were 11 years old when I replaced them.
I had the same issue with mine. One of the mounts for the wiper motor broke. Pull the panel off the inside and take a look. I had a buddy of mine re-weld the bracket, but I think it broke again. You can buy a new seal for the exterior on the internet, I forget where I got mine, it was like 5...
They did leave one step out of the install process, and that was after everything is installed, you have to turn the air ride switch back on. Otherwise your steering is super-loose.
If it's got an air ride suspension, you can usually hear the solenoids on the air bags, otherwiseit may just be the exhaust cooling off. Other than that, no ideas.
Alright, so my air bags took a big dump on me. And I do mean dump. Here's the pic of after it went out.

I take that back, the ck suspension light came on twice. Now it doesn't come on at all, but the back of the truck looks like it has a pallet of concrete in it. Still, no compressor running, at all.
