I trimmed the plastic very roughly so it would at least fit but it doesn't clip in so I may just need to glue it right the windscreen?

No idea why I'm responding to this old thread and none of you guys are prolly on here anymore but I'm Having this exactly same issue.... Nothing fits in there to hold the nut while I turn the bolt so it makes it impossible to remove
Hey guys,
Recently found a new compass module at pickNpull because the PO never had one on my truck and it would always read "COMPASS NO RESPONSE"
So I plugged it in and calibrated it while it was hanging there and then tried to mount it up on the mirror clip and realized that my mirror...
Lol... Well as far as I'm concerned and "complete struts" when I called them, the touring is just another word for the regular expedition should be no real difference and they told me that they should fit fine... I'm doing mine Saturday so I'll know by then
So another question, does your truck have existing air bags?
Also if you bought all 4 shocks/struts the fronts should at least fit fine.
Edit: I'm currently on hold with complete struts and are waiting to get to bottom of yours and (hopefully not) my issue.
Uh-Oh, i just did a bit of research, if you do not have existing air suspension then "Rear part number:
2-65080C-010"
this part you and I bought will not fit in the strut housing and you instead need to buy the part number:
2-15080-006
for the rear struts.....
I think this is right. But let me...
Oh boy, now you have me nervous I have 4 new struts from them sitting in my garage with a leveling on them waiting to be mounted on the truck. I was certain there was no difference from touring and standard Expedition so I the first ones that came up. I am going to put them on on Saturday so...
MOOG makes collars for the Expedition and they have nice constant rate springs too. I have not ever driven on bilsteins in and Expedition but, as I hear, they are a bit stiffer but really could go either way. But also, from experience, Ranchos are much stiffer than bilsteins, just something to...
Are you looking for a way to lift it? Or...
If so, a leveling kit or even a body lift for the first gens is real cheap and easy to do.. Maybe not so easy for the body lift but to level it it'll be easy as pie
My support would be considered "gone" in most mechanics eyes it's so rotted.. Lol... But my front clip sits up fine and level and I just removed it and added a new black limited grille with no issues. So leads me to believe the rad support is not your issue.
My suggestion is pull the front...
Well if you don't find the rubber stops at lowes or eBay... Just head to the junkyard I'm sure you could pull them off any car any they'll fit fine

Would check eBay for the rubber door bumper stops.
Not sure of the setup on your truck but I get about 12.4 mpg mixed driving so "average". I have a large gear basket on the roof that accounts for about ~0.8 mpg but other than that I'm basically stock aside from AT tires. The expy with a 5.4L...
X2... I have the exact same issue I found a foreign part bouncing around in my engine bay and it was the battery holding bracket...
