Nothing. You will get no lift adding to the top of air struts. The ride height is completely dictated by the position of the sensor arm (this is why we change the length of the link).
The strut is half way between the suspension pivot and wheel center, at 2" of lift the strut is expanded 1", the...
My strut studs were long enough to get a piece of 3/8" UHMW plastic between and still get good threads. Cut two circles and drilled 3 holes.
I might figure out how to machine up some stud extensions so the struts don't need to be turned 120 degrees, I don't think the air hookups would work.
I'd have to try and find the paperwork with a part number somewhere to even guess what I bought at the time.
I thought they were just non-custom molded flaps in '12 for Expys.
Adjust these according to the directions as a place to start, take out OEM, and snap these into place. If you want more or less, adjust accordingly.
I have them set to 2" for about 3 years and 20K using them.
Your car? Please be more specific... "use some of those from company"... you live in China? This thread is about a special part for lifting expeditions with air struts. Please delete your post and start a new thread or go to the general lift section..
Thanks
I haven't done any research on the front with air. Mines an 08 so I do not have front air struts.
I can make the links to whatever lengths necessary. I have no idea what changes in the link length equate to what changes in height nor what effect any of this has on the air strut and it's...
Ordered left and right chrome caps. Doorman # 959-0018 and 19. Took the glass out again and unsnapped the cap clips with a flat screwdriver. They break easy.
Looking at the back of the covers, it's clear that the exact same tool molded these. Everything is the same from the parting lines and...
Ordered parts from both home sites, also ordered parts from both off eBay.
UPS tracking for AM Autoparts came to me as leaving 1A Auto in Lenexa, KS.
Not sure why, not sure if it matters, BUT the pricing and warranty...
You chose to address the least of my issues... The vibration on mine is the glass, not the structure, it's wind turbulence. In my experience, stick-on wheel weights and/or foam on the back of the glass can cure the issue.
Do you have a parts breakdown for these mirrors?
Can you send me extra...
Replaced the right (passenger) mirror today with the OEM F-150 right heated mirror 7L3Z-17K707-C. $36 for the glass. It snaps in and fits almost exactly like the one I removed, Like always, the Chinese couldn't quite copy OEM "exactly", so the mirror is slightly twisted counter-clockwise.
I took...
I paid attention in English, the word "like" is not interchangeable with the word "same" or "better". We are all aware the lower mirrors are convex. You do realize that all mirrors that say "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" are also convex don't you? However, they are not near to...
Adjusted the power mirrors one time. Wife has rolled her window down and pulled her mirror in 5 times already.
If I don't figure out power fold, "these can go." (Her words) lol
Where can I find the parts breakdown for these and the 150 mirrors?
Put the mirrors on last night. Will take a little getting used to...
I'm being serious that I would give up the puddle light, blinker and maybe even power adjustment in exchange for power folding...
Anyone else realize you could see more out of your factory convex passenger mirror than out of...

Anyhow..., what bothers me just about a much is I could see more out of my factory convex passenger mirror than out of this towing...
I want the F150 version with all features including power folding and the clearance and signal lights in them. There has got to be a way to make these work....
The easiest way to lift these is to buy inexpensive adjustable ride height links.

I would also never recommend over a 2" rear lift without adding strut spacers to the top of the air struts, this would...
For the guys that don't want to take all the time to order the parts, measure, cut, and build the adjustable links, they are available here.
How to lift 07-up Expys with rear air strut suspension
Ford says that if you quickly reset the pedal on any of their vehicles, the pedal will reset about an 1" higher and will be more solid and responsive. I don't know, I haven't driven enough of them to verify this. I need to start test driving some.
I've gotten so used to quickly doubling the...
New fluid is no different. Ford says all is normal.
I've researched a lot of forums and everybody that has soft brake issues, and has replaced nearly everything, finally ends up shimming or adjusting the booster rod out so it sets up much faster. All seem to be happy with that fix.
I took the...
Lifting rear air suspensions is actually so simple it's almost sad that everybody's been convinced it can't be done.
How to lift 07-up Expys with rear air strut suspension - Ford Expedition Forum
I wanted to level out the rake on my 08 KR. I ordered the 2" (1.175" thick aluminum) spacer kit from ebay (came from summit)
After the install it was plain to see that the new front height was too much in perspective to the rear.
Not listening to the "can't be done" crowd, I did one of the...
