i have them on my expy in 24" along with Sure Wipe : The wiper booster they work great! i park in a garage though so ice/snow build up is not a real issue. but when they are out in the snow they work well.
i have had this happen on more then one ford truck. not a new expedition but both my older expedition, excursion and explorer. extended driving in wet or slushy deep snow has caused ice/slush build up and not allowed it to go into park and made any other gears very hard to get it into. after...

explorer owners have done the same brown wire mod for years with no ill effects at all. just as i've never heard if a issue related to the transfer case or brown wire mod causing any type of issue.
i'm going to plug my expy in warm it up put a few gallons of gas in it and let my family from seattle borrow it well they are in town for chirstmas. atleast i'll get a full tank out of the deal!

when you loose voltage they do very funny things.
the alternator went on my expedition last winter on a day it was a high of -10. it had 83k miles on it at the time and no expectation to have to replace it. got a call from the other half that the truck died...asked a few questions and knew...
