My '04 Expy had a rear diff whine since it rolled out the dealership 175,000 miles ago...still running fine. It's the gear lash shim setting from the factory. Was not worth fooling with.
This will not help with piston ring blowby and fuel getting in the oil. That issue is caused by piston ring wear where the fuel in the cylinder gets by the worn rings into the crankcase from compression. All the catch can does is keep oil vapor out of the intake system for a cleaner burn on any...
My JLT 3.0 just arrived this morning (ordered from JLT last week) Took only a few minutes to install on the '16 Expy. Took longer to read the instructions and gather tools. Rotate the intake PCV hose about 45 degrees on the can towards the fire wall and route the hose in between the two existing...
30 seconds warm up??? I'll never buy one of your used vehicles LOL. We don't drive anything thing until it reaches operating temperature. On our '16 Expy that means the engine oil temp reading "normal" not "low".
Get the original Battery Tender, not an imitation. If it's any consolation, I have a permanently installed under the hood a waterproof 6 amp charger and mine gets plugged in every night.
OEM keypad is hardwire to the module. It sounds like the stick on wireless is just like a key fob and I would assume battery powered as well. I wonder how that will work in sub freezing temps.
Replace with LED bulbs or the whole assembly. The same happens to the lower brake lamps. This is caused by sitting in traffic or holding your foot on the brake waiting in a long bank or food drive thru. The incandescent bulbs get really hot. Just remember if you replace any individual bulbs...
A friend of mine had had a '17 Expy rental for a month or so while his company van was being replaced...he beat the snot out of it like a sports car and put on 10K miles. LOL
Do you have an air compressor? With the kit it is easy. Napa Auto parts sells the kit and the film in 1 or 5 gallon pails or buy online from others. Another alternative is to rattle can it with Fluid Film, Lowes and others sell it. With the kit I only use the long extension wand for all exposed...
All our vehicles are warmed up until they reach operating temperature before being driven. On the '16 expy I wait until the engine oil temp reads normal.
Bought our '04 new in March '04, has about 175K on it. The only issues were the notorious blend door motor, an alternator, driver's door switch lights and blower resistor. Spark plugs and belt at 100K. Oil changes every 3K and other normal tune up stuff.
