Bought our '04 new in March '04, has about 175K on it. The only issues were the notorious blend door motor, an alternator, driver's door switch lights and blower resistor. Spark plugs and belt at 100K. Oil changes every 3K and other normal tune up stuff.

I have a 2003 eddie bauer, it's only up to ~110,000 miles but I haven't had to throw any big repairs at it yet!
Oddly, I have a manual for a 2004 in the glovebox... most of it matches except for the HVAC controls, which I suppose they changed between 2003 and 2004
