I had the dealer do the conversion for me. They installed HID bulbs and ballasts. They had to remove the front fender for the install so it wasn't cheap! They sure work great however!
Same issue. I put a piece of the fuzzy side of velcro on the belt holder where it contacts the pillar and poof, noise gone! The velcro is soft and doesn't produce that plastic to plastic banging sound.
I would install the eliminator but I am afraid of scratching or denting the dash trying to get the piece out. It looks difficult even for the installer in the video.
The owner's manual says the front bumper has to be removed to replace the headlight and fog lights bulbs. Have anyone figured out another, simpler, way? Thanks!
Is there some label somewhere that contains the exterior paint code? I picked a bottle of touch up paint from my dealer and it is not nearly as white as the exterior paint on my 18 Expedition XLT.
Can you disable this by disconnecting something? I cannot stand this feature as I have accidentally opened the rear hatch while in the garage. I would love to disable it somehow even if it means disconnecting a wire. Help?

I went to the settings on the stereo screen. I went to General, then the Gear Wheels and then couldn't find the setting.
