    Something got wet and its drying out. Coolant doesn't evap very fast, so a single drop into the wrong electrical connector can cause havoc.

Now, where the pressurized air goes is up to the ECM, either back into the intake manifold, out a waste gate, or bypassed into the exhaust pipe. Not knowing...
