    No, it comes off really easy, be careful with the mirror cover and do not remove the power window control cover, it will break. Remove the door panel first, then disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Damn, I broke it........

    Thanks bedrck46, pulled the switch out again (broke it again) found out I had put the auto headlamp connector in the red cup instead of plugging it in to the back of the switch. Everything works great! Thanks again, the diagrams helped!

    Yes, had to take the door panel off, be careful removing the cover for the mirror, it snaps on, but the posts are in two different directions. Yep, broke mine. Wrapped the rod in electrical tape. Real quiet now.

    I have the same problem, it turned out to be the the rod for the pull/push door lock rattling around inside the door.

    Steering component question.

    Replacing my lower ball joints, steering idler arm and tie rod ends. My question is that when I look up the parts it shows two tie rod ends which I will order but also lists inner tie rod ends and I can't find them..........any other parts you guy think I might need?

    Air suspesion - actig strange - 98 Navigator

    Okay, sounds like the right front air shock is leaking. Mine did the same thing, sprayed it with soapy water and found nothing, after my compressor burned up, I found the leak was inside the shock. Replaced shocks, bags and compressor and now it works great.

    Sounds like the drivers rear solenoid is bad. You should hear clicking from both rear air bags as it kneels, also, as the air bags vent, the air is routed back and realeased at the compressor. As for the compressor running, you have an air leak somewhere........
