I only know because I happened to notice it on another Expedition passing me. I've always thought the dot on our 2018s was a bit too small! If you guys want more coverage from your mirror, I stuck these blind spot mirrors from Amazon on the outer lower portion of each mirror. The curve almost...
I have a 2018 with the dot as well. However, Ford made a change either in 2020 or 2021 to the Expedition blind spot monitoring lights. The updated ones no longer have the dot. The entire blind spot monitoring icon lights up instead.
Edit: Found a YouTube video of a 2020 Expy. Watch the blind...
Agreed. I have a Thule Motion XT XL on the factory crossbars and have almost no additional wind noise and no MPG reduction. The Expedition drives exactly the same. Very happy with it! @Black, I use a 3 step thin foldable ladder that I keep strapped to the back of 3rd row chairs for more stable...
Has anyone noticed Ford grounds the battery to painted metal? I've seen a few Ford models like this. I'm no expert, but shouldn't the battery be grounded to bare metal?
For those who are interested in the Defenders, Michelin customer support got back to me. The Defender in 114H will go into production in June and be released in July this year.
Just spoke with the Discount Tire sales rep. The Defender LTX in the 22" 114H XL rating is in pre-release and is not in stores yet. He is going to check with Michelin when they will be available and get back to me.
I'm looking to replace my factory Hankooks on the OEM 22" wheels and am between the Michelin Premier LTX DT vs Defender LTX M/S tires. From what I understand, these are both recently updated tire versions. I drive mostly highway in Texas with the occasional road trip somewhere around the US...
The 1/2” measurements were with 3/4 tank and no occupants. Even with a driver, it still has a visible lean.
I attached a picture of a Platinum I saw on the road a while back. I lined up the camera framing lines to the bottom tires.
I’ve seen quite a few Expeditions that are slightly leaning to the right. It is very obvious to me when driving behind my wife’s Expedition. Has anyone noticed this? I measured my Expedition at each corner from the ground to top of the wheel well and noticed the right side is a 1/2 inch lower...
Please let us know if the dealership is able to sort it out! I have just gotten used to hearing it consistently clunk for now.

I agree with all of this except one thing - instead of the springs being soft, could they actually be too stiff? This would explain the "buck" on the upward extension and the several vertical cycles after each bump? Have the sway bars helped you specifically with the upward "buck" motions when...
I'm a bit confused regarding the swaybars and am not a suspension expert by any means. My platinum Expedition in Normal driving mode has a lot of unnecessary up and down bounce motions on uneven roads that are almost trampoline like. It is a huge difference from our 2019 Black Label Navigator L...
No, unfortunately the dealership stated that the transmission clunk was "normal" and that nothing needed to be done. Would love to hear if anyone had anything done that fixed the clunk.
The different Expedition trims have different horns. The loaner XLT I had definitely had a weaker higher pitched horn. My Platinum has a much louder and fuller horn sound. Maybe the horns can be swapped if yours has the weaker horn?
