Thinking of doing the Readylift 3/2 on my 2021 max fx4. Would probably upsize tires a little too. Will be doing some mild offroading.
But does the lift affect highway ride quality or gas mileage much?
Yeah, I get that, but was also wondering if Ford is maybe worried about overheating the elsd (I've seen a few threads on that happening) - not sure if low tire pressures would even cause more stress on the diff, though...just a thought
Everyone who routinely drives in deep sand says it's critical to reduce tire pressures significantly to reliably not get stuck. But the manual on my 2021 FX4 says "When driving over sand...avoid reducing the tire pressures but shift to a lower gear and drive steadily through the terrain".
Why...

I'm picking up a new 2021 MAX FX4 soon. I intend to be on the beach with this every so often, but also plenty of normal city/highway combo driving. Planning on doing the readylift 3/2 and bigger tires (I look the lifted look, plus it'll help on the beach).
I think I'm settled on the Falken...

I have a 2021 XLT Max FX4 on order. Picking it up soon (I hope). I plan on doing a good bit of driving on the beach, including deep soft stuff for miles. I'll probably do the readylift 3/2.
Obviously I'll air down a lot (15-20psi) for the sand driving, but what's my best option for tires? I...
