There are only a handful of people who even have a 2022 at this time so odds are you likely won't find someone who has done that yet. Having said that, there are a lot of smart folks on this forum so I'm sure someone will have some incite. You would think the 21/22 F150 brake controller would be...
I actually saw that info above as good news with Ford doing the right thing with the 2nd row controls. I can wait for them to arrive as long as I eventually get them. I already ordered a lowly XLT, haha, but can definitely understand why not having the Platinum seats would be a no go for some...
Looks like Ford is doing the right thing for the climate controls/heated seats and the module will be installed at a later date (12-18 months). Not good info on the multi-contour seats though for those with Platinums. From ice-capades on Blue Oval forums:
"While the automotive industry...
That means they are removing the 2nd row climate controls (the knobs and buttons on the back of the central console). They are doing this due to lack of chips. You will still have 3 zone control through the front controls. Ford has not stated publicly if those controls will be added later for...
I don't believe I've heard of anyone on this forum that ordered and received their vehicle yet. Some are close and shipping now. The ones who do have them on here appear to have bought off the lot. I could be wrong but that is what I've seen.
I believe the process has recently changed for the emails (early April?). You will get the initial confirmation of your order and then you won't get another email from Ford until it is scheduled to the day which occurs a week or two before production. Previously they sent an email when scheduled...
I agree. More information is better than less information. I recently heard Ford is no longer providing build to week emails. The rationale was because things were moving around too much. Now you won't get an email (after the original) until the build day is scheduled which I believe is two...
Based on your screen name, I assume that is Long McArthur Ford? I like your in depth videos. When do you expect to receive your XLT based on the delay?
The manual states the headlights aren't serviceable. Most likely the LEDs are attached right to the circuit board. I assume the only way to upgrade would be by replacing the entire headlight housing assembly with something from the aftermarket, assuming someone makes them eventually.
Good question. I'm wondering the same. If I had to guess, I'd say it'll be all the vehicles produced going forward scheduled or not. My rational for that is they added Auto Start-Stop removal to my scheduled order with no input from me. I would expect the same here as well. If similar to the...
Have you checked the manual? Here is a link:

They removed the rear heated seats and rear controls on the Explorer as well. The Ford Authority story says they will be added at a later date. I thought I read somewhere the dealer will be able to install them. Fingers crossed that is the case here too...
Looks like the order guide was just updated again. Here are the changes listed:
JOB 1 ORDER GUIDE UPDATES
● Added: 2nd Row Climate Control/2nd Row Heated Seats Removal (57C) – Required Option on XL (100A/101A/104A), XLT, Timberline, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum series.
● Added: Active Park...
There has been a note in the order guide for a while that states if you order the HD tow package it removes active park assist on most models. So based on that you weren't really getting it in the first place so I'd expect them to not give you anything back. Is it right to pay for more packages...
The following is a known availability issue:
Front Row – Multicontour with Active Motion® (LIMITED AVAILABILITY) – refer to option 88R
If you want to be scheduled sooner than later you likely would need to add Option 88R to remove those seats. I realize that is a no go for some obviously.
My understanding of the process is the dealer can assign any priority code they want from 10-19. These are used to rack and stack their internal order to be considered for production scheduling. Once you are scheduled and get a VIN, the codes no longer are used or mean anything. Then it comes...
The "order number" is the "order code" on the dealer paperwork - upper right. Mine is "A123" format. Until you get a VIN assigned there isn't much you can do to check status on your own with that code. Ford customer service reps or dealer should be able to help prior to the VIN assignment. You...
The order date isn't the only factor on when you are scheduled. Things like your dealers allocations, where you are in line at said dealer, part availability, etc all play a roll. There is some good info on the process over at Blue Oval Forums.
