    04 Expy underdash clicking

There is a square black device attached to the break pedal with a plug that goes into it. Start your truck, put your hand on the box, press break pedal. If you feel a click, that is most likely what you are hearing. It is the swicth that activates break lights and unlocks shifter.

    Electrical Gremlin? Autotrac issue

The CCA reading was the issue that they pointed out. Forgot to put that in my previous post. Cleared all the old codes and ran new code check. Now I get C1998 Module Calibration Incomplete. Called Ford $120. I know I can't fix this one myself as I don't have the diagnostic equipment to do it...

    Electrical Gremlin? Autotrac issue

Immediately after writing the post I remembered that I had bought the service manual so I broke it out and looked up the first code (B1676). It said to check the voltage on the battery with the key on and engine off as well as key on engine on. The voltages were both under what the service...

    Electrical Gremlin? Autotrac issue

So, over the last week or so my 06 Limited has developed a weird issue. I think I might know what it is. First though I would like to describe the issue and then share what I think the issue may be and solicit opinions. ISSUE: When driving the truck (usually when it is cold outside) all of the...

    200K miles today!!!!

I have an 06 Limited with 186,000 and an 06 King Ranch with 165,000 and they run like champs. Keeping up with routine maintenance is the key as the article says. I run full synthetic oil in both trucks and change every 5000 miles. The King Ranch gets driven a lot less than the Limited. The...

    Ok, current Headlight/Foglight bulb replacement

I have the LED's from XenonHid's in the fogs as well, have not replaced the housings yet. I plan to do that soon as well. I used White Sylvania Zevo LED's in the mirror turn signals and puddle lights. The bulbs I used can be seen here...

Question about CARiD Spec-D® - Chrome/Red LED Tail Lights for the Expedition

Do yourself a favor and don't order anything unless you are ABSOLUTELY 100000000000% SURE YOU WANT IT. I bought a set of headlight housings from them, installed them and took them to be aligned to find out that one of the adjusters was stripped from the factory and it was a ******* NIGHTMARE to...

    Ok, current Headlight/Foglight bulb replacement

I have always strayed away from anything that isn't a brand I know or can research. Thus, no cheap bulbs from Amazon. I have bulbs from www.xenonhids.com in my 06 Limited. I also replaced both of the headlight housings while I was at it and plan to replace the fog housings in the next couple of...

    Instrument Cluster Lights

Once you get the bulbs, I would be curious to see how well they fit (if they fit) and/or how hard they are to get in. Then maybe some after photos when you change them out. Also maybe a side by side comparison between LED and regular bulbs in the speedo and tach. Keep us up to date. If all goes...

    Instrument Cluster Lights

As long as the retainers are the same I don't see why not. The other issue I see is the length of the building as well as the diameter at the end. It could just be the picture but the bulb looks longer and a bit bigger around at the end. Might be worth risking the 12 bucks.

2006 Expedition XLT (Raleigh, North Carolina)

Up for sale is a 2006 Ford Expedition XLT. It is rough around the edges but is mechanically sound. The only mechanical issue is that the catalytic converter on the drivers side needs to be replaced. 108,000 miles. Just had all coils and plugs replaced last year and there is probably less than...

    Throttle Pedal

Found a thread http://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/p0506.29651/#post-239102 on here that says it could be as simple as a dirty throttle body. I have it off the truck now and it is quite dirty inside. Going to clean it up real good and reset the code. Drive it a couple of days and see what...

    Throttle Pedal

Thanks moose and Flex for the suggestions. I will look into both and report back later this afternoon. As old as the truck is and the miles that are on it (186,000) probably wouldn't be a bad idea to tackle a cleaning on the throttle body anyway. Not sure if I will get any DTC codes or not...
