Lived there late 70s - mid 80s. Wow, didn’t know a college was there now.....yea, these land boats sure make a trip a bunch easier. Daughter was born there also.
Wow..... it’s probably #8 but that needs to be checked first. You may not have one but I have an old timing light I use to verify a miss on the plugs, plug wires or coils. The timing light won’t tell you which of the three it is but nowadays people replace the coil and plug at the same time...
Was it a no fault thermo you put in? I’ve heard of the no-faults but haven’t had the opportunity to use one yet. If they go bad they stick in the open position so you don’t overheat. Let us no if ur problem comes back.....
After seeing the post above I’m gonna get my dang 73 Ford F-100 outta the cow pasture, fix it and drive it from now on. No computer, no codes and very easy to work on. Sometimes new technology really stinks, bad. It even has an AM radio, God save the Queen.......
Good explanation DeadHead...er I mean Deadman. Grateful Dead still in my head, sorry. Your mind and feet are still operating at 98 percent, while mine are probably at 80 percent. I have no choice but to leave mine on....and it has saved my *ss on two occasions. You don’t have to worry when...
The only time the brakes activate is if you get within a certain distance from the car in front of you. If you don’t have ACC on and you get within a certain distance (depending on your setting) the brakes will apply hard and your heads up display will activate.
My 17 Camaro SS does that but maybe not as pronounced. In my case it’s the DFI causing the noise but my Expy runs a lot quieter but only have 3k miles on it. I’m sure it will be louder as time goes by.
I use AT&T and get unlimited data for 20 bucks a month but not sure if older Expy’s have the built in modem or not? I’m new to Fords so just not sure what years have a modem and what years don’t, but I learn a bit from these great forum members we have here everyday....
Seems like a case of the brake paddle possibly touching against the body under the dash. Yes, the paddle does connect to the master cylinder. I would just trace the brake linkage to see if something is touching either under the dash or on the other side of the firewall. I had a rattle like...
I doubt it’s the brake pedal never heard of the pedal making a noise. My three kids, when they got their own cars would drive me crazy saying you hear that noise Dad?? I heard nothing with these old ears and even though they swore their car was about to fall apart their cars lasted way past...
That’s what I like to hear, someone protecting themselves versus calling 911. I carry my S&W Shield 9mm all the time and if that doesn’t work I grab my Colt AR A2 outta the back to end all the confusion. Amen.
Just checked my radio....after the 10 min point it turns off. I pressed the radio button and it came on after a few seconds. So, it will come on again after the 10 min shutoff without the ignition in the on position or key fob within three feet.
It really stays on even after the 10 minute auto shutoff? I haven’t even tried it. Heading on a trip Sat for couple weeks and that might be something a person could use around the campfire. Thanks.
Good deal Joe you’re doing it right. Yes, it will retard or advance the timing just enough to keep spark knock away. I don’t expect any knock using 87 and zero for above that. As tight as these engines are it may take awhile to get it loosened up to give better MPG than when new.
44khz, 92khz, 128khz doesn’t really matter because those are only recording sampling rates, has nothing to do with hearing or making music sound better to us. Psychoacoustics (human hearing) is only at 18khz so that’s a mute point. The limit of the perfect reconstruction is 20 kHz at a...
