Hi All,
Has anyone replaced their GPS Antenna on a 3rd gen? I just got my new one in the mail today and am having 0 luck trying to find anything about removing and replacing it. ie. what needs to come down, how to remove the old one etc...
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you
At one time I had thought about putting them where the cig. lighter is. I was going to cut a piece of black plastic for the switches to replace the trim piece that the lighter is mounted to. Never did it though and put that project on the back burner.
Not sure of which system you have, but I found this on page 22 of this;

Parental Controls Parental controls give the ability to lock DVD content with certain ratings. The Ratings menu...
Y'all better watch it. I gots me a black belt in forum karate. And I learned that when I became a CB Rambo. hahahahahahaha
This is certainly entertaining.
Old Thread but gotta ask;
Doesn't the GPS and Sirius use the same antenna?
I'm also having the no signal/ acquiring symptoms. But if they both use the same, then I can rule out a bad antenna and hope that I find a bad connection to the radio?
Any comments or opinions please.
And Thank you
Hi All,
I have read and reread this thread till my eyes were bloodshot :confused: However, I'm going to ask specifics.
I have a 13 Limited EL and am wanting to replace my shocks. I do tow a 32' camper so I'm sure any kind of lift is out (although I wouldn't mind a little in the front). Normally...

Thank you all for the replies. I’m pulling the trigger on it as we speak (as I type) haha. Although it’s a short one, they are giving me 30 days 100% bumper to bumper warranty. I’m choosing not to get an extended warranty.
First chance I get I’ll update my profile and add a few pics.
Hi All,
I used to own a 2011 EL, King Ranch. About two years ago and snow took me out on an off camber curve and insurance company totaled it out :( I replaced it with an 08 F250 CC 5.4l at the time.
Needless to say, I really miss my Expy EL and am thinking of replacing it. I found this one...
Do you have the tow/haul button engaged? Assuming you have tow package. If so, when you tap the breaks, it will try to maintain speed at the break point that you tap the break pedal.
I have a 2011 King Ranch and have the same issue. From what I have read, there is no way to control the rear head rest DVD players unless they were installed when the Vehicle was built. Ford does have some/a lot of the head unit players added in after the vehicle comes off the line. So, the head...
I had the same issue with my GPS at one time. It did work and then I had the same issue as you. But what I had done was plug in an external SSD to the USB port in the arm rest. It took me a minute to think about unplugging it. Sure never would have thought, but that was my issue. I haven't tried...
The COP is the coil over plug.
As far as needing a ladder goes, I just use a milk crate or standing on the running boards.
I wish I was making that trip. It looks like a lot of fun and great scenery as well as fun times.
If it were me, I would carry an extra belt and at least one if not two COP's. I would also get a least a cheap code reader in the event something does go wrong. A small selection of tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers). An assortment of fuses. MUSIC for sure :) And not sure how far apart gas...
I use a cup holder mount for my cell phone. I didn't want anything permanent or sticky shit on my dash. And damn sure don't want it in my windshield. You can pick one up at most wally worlds. $30 or so
