Thank you for the good wishes.
I just looked up "Foursquare". Yes, that is what dealers do ... some more aggressive then others.
PS - Do you have pictures posted of your Econoline?
My rules for buying a new vehicle once you have picked out one and done your research.
1. Do not mention a trade in even if you are going to trade in a vehicle.
2. Do not mention financing.
3. Negotiate the purchase price of the new vehicle.
4. Once you are comfortable with the...
Pulled the trigger on the 2017 today. Thank you all for your input. It came down to the price of the 2018's vs the price of the 2017. All of the 2018's I looked at had sticker prices near $80K .... and some where $80+.
That I know ... should I be scared of the new tranny? I typically know it is not the best to be the first kid on the block with technology .... having said that... I also have a 2012 Focus that I purchased in its first month out with the "New" dual clutch. Lots of people had nightmares with it...
The difference in this thread is the 2017 is New but priced like a used Expedition. If this was a year or so ago .... and the 2017's were on the lot (Near msrp) and the 18's were on the way shortly ... I would get an '18. The fact pattern here is different then the threads from 2017, but your...
Spoken like a true financial advisor! I will definitely take your comments in to consideration when I make my decision. The next question is probably a new thread ... I never had an Expedition before. I seemed to have put more than my fair share of transmissions in Ford vehicles.
1991 Taurus...
Lots of good info here.
A couple of points
My wife drives our Expi 90% of the time.
She loves our (her) 2014. She is glad it does not have Sync. She is a K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) person and hates all the gizmos they have in the 2018
She HATES the face of the 2018+. She thinks it...
I have a 2014 XLT that I love. I am looking at trading it in for a 2017 or 2018. I found a 2017 left over at a great price (no miles on it)
What would you do?
You can have the traction control turned off permanently if you have something like an SCT handheld tuner. The traction control light will stay on. As long as you don't mind seeing the light, it is a great way to do it.
Dent Wizard removed dents on my aluminum Lincoln LS back in the day. It takes longer than doing a removal on steel because aluminum has no memory and won't "pop" back into shape. It has to be worked slowly ... thus the extra charge.
But the end result was no dents for a reasonable charge.
The though of putting it on my trailer and towing it to California behind the Expedition ... I think I would need to set aside two weeks! Could possible be fun... but probably not ...
I am looking to ship a car from NJ to Cal. I know it is an unregulated industry and their are a great deal of "Logistics" companies on the internet that can do this. Most seem to be brokers working ou tof their basments.
I would like to load the car onto the truck in NJ and unload it off...
Lets think back to the station wagons of the 70's.... The rear wing thing was great at keeping air moving over the rear of the car and thus keeping the back end clean ... cleaner than without. I installed one on my 1983 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer back in the day and it worked great! Another item...
