First, I have 'towed' a boat many times and have hauled a vehicle on a trailer before with a different vehicle.....but that was more than 10 years ago but less than 15? The vehicle I used back then was bigger tho, it was a Chevy/Suburban with a big V8 and a H/D suspension and trailering...
Hello,
I own a 2017 Expedition Limited 2 wheel drive. I will be towing a trailer for the first time in its 5 year life. What I will be towing is a trailer with a vehicle on it. I know I can read what the owners manual says but I think hearing from folks who actually tow things would be the...
I have a 2017 Expedition Limited. I have been using the 'factory' navigation and really not had much problem using that. In fact it has been reliable and gotten me to wherever I needed to go. But...............
I am thinking of utilizing the Android Auto app on the vehicle via my phone. Can...
I replaced the 'shock' part myself. Bought KYB's. Luckily my son has a Lift so didn't have to crawl around to do the work. Took less than an hour once we knew what to 'undo' or loosen. KYB's have been around a LONG TIME so anticipate that maybe they'll last???
My 2017 Limited that I bought new in October of 2017, the rear 'shocks' in the struts went bad. My vehicle is 3 1/2 years old? Just shy of 60,000 miles. And the SHOCKS go bad? I think this is a first for me. I've had many vehicle's in my life time (I'm in my 70's) and maybe I've had to...
Scenic. When one has traveled the same interstates for 30-40 years a bit of nostalgia can creep in. I'm a geezer and remember the 'olden' days way of travel and what's my hurry, I'm retired (long time).
Inquiry,
Is there a way to get a route that is not using the interstate highways? I'm not looking to use backroads or just state highways. In the 'olden' days one traveled on the U.S. Highway system to from point A to point B. I would like to do that but am finding most 'mapping' programs...
Not sure about the 22" wheel but on my 20" wheel COSTCO sells the
Michelin - X LT A/S which is the same as the Michelin Defender. It is the 'club' brand and even at the Michelin web site it indicates it as the same as the Defender......it is cheaper and it is on sale now at Costco
I have contacted Michelin and they are telling me the LTX M/S2 are being discontinued. 'They' recommended I proceed to inquire with the Defender tire.
I've read some other independent reviews and the Cooper Evolution does get positive reviews. So, I am not totally discounting these yet.

Hello,
I realize that 'personal' preference is much in the decision of which tire to buy. Also 'past' experience with a certain brand will influence choice also. But I will ask the question anyway.
I have a 2017 Limited. 275x55x20 . It comes with Hankook Dynapro HT. I have 52K+ miles on...

I have read this thread from beginning to end. Quite an interesting one. I 'used' to be computer literate but being in my 70's now I am not so sure anymore?? With some of the difficulties some of the folks were having admittedly it makes me a tad gun shy. I saw that one needed 3 flash drives...
Maybe I missed it but I see that PILOT, FLYING J and LOVE'S are NOT listed as Tier One gasoline distributors? On the Interstate that is what one see's mostly.... in the South, and going up to the MidWest.
I appreciate the 'site' info. I see tho that one may need to be quite 'computer literate' to utilize what is available here? I'm not that person.
But I appreciate the info that was there; if one can take it to be accurate as to what the update is also available at the 'Ford' site. Map update...
Admittedly I am baffled on how you were able to do that? Map updates, that I am aware of, have never been free? How is it you know that you have the latest? where do you look to see what 'version' you have?
Being somewhat paranoid I am asking if y'all know if this is a legit. I 'might' be interested but before I even investigate I am wanting to know if this is a legit site making this recommendation.
Ford SYNC Navigation <[email protected]>
Hello,
A week or so ago I received an email from Ford/Sync3 about a Snyc3 update. Something about WAZE and other things. I followed the links and did all of the 'click here' routines and ended up with NO UPDATES AVAILABLE. I see someone posted similar inquiry on the 2018 and newer forum...
Hmmmmm, I happened to be in Central Florida and that is where I bought the OEM Ford blades at the Brandon Ford dealership. So, I guess Florida is not selling the steel frame either? Thanks for the clarification
Thanks. Soooooo, I guess 'Ford' does not sell the open steel frame anymore? I will start looking more carefully at the "Name Brand" and see if any of them sell the open frame still.
I may tho try buying a shorter version of the 'closed' style for the passenger side????
I did a search and did not really find an answer for my question I am now posting.
The front wiper blades on the 2017 when new seemed to work pretty well. Yes, the 'contact' on the passenger side was odd, to me, that the end of the wiper did not contact the glass. But, the glass is curved so...
I am glad those of you who responded like what "3rd Party" unit you prefer. But there are a few of us (maybe 'many') who like using the 'in dash' unit that came with our vehicle. Personally I've had no problems with it and it has gotten me where I wanted to go. Admittedly sometimes I had to...
Well......y'all definitely got my curiosity up. I have a 2017 and admittedly I did just a quick scan but could find nothing about doing a 30,000 mile check on the seat filter??? I did find the 'covers' and yes they are just a circular plastic with holes...nothing else. Definitely nothing to...
OK I'm showing ignorance but must ask. On the drivers side is a carpet floor mat. It is held in place by some sort of 'clip' or whatever. I have 'pushed' 'pulled' and other things and I cannot get the mat to release???
Please, someone tell me how this is done????
