    Had to replace rear shocks in the strut

    I replaced the 'shock' part myself. Bought KYB's. Luckily my son has a Lift so didn't have to crawl around to do the work. Took less than an hour once we knew what to 'undo' or loosen. KYB's have been around a LONG TIME so anticipate that maybe they'll last???

    Michelin Premier LTX DT vs Defender LTX M/S

    Not sure about the 22" wheel but on my 20" wheel COSTCO sells the Michelin - X LT A/S which is the same as the Michelin Defender. It is the 'club' brand and even at the Michelin web site it indicates it as the same as the Defender......it is cheaper and it is on sale now at Costco

    I have contacted Michelin and they are telling me the LTX M/S2 are being discontinued. 'They' recommended I proceed to inquire with the Defender tire. I've read some other independent reviews and the Cooper Evolution does get positive reviews. So, I am not totally discounting these yet.

    Thanks. Soooooo, I guess 'Ford' does not sell the open steel frame anymore? I will start looking more carefully at the "Name Brand" and see if any of them sell the open frame still. I may tho try buying a shorter version of the 'closed' style for the passenger side????

    OK I'm showing ignorance but must ask. On the drivers side is a carpet floor mat. It is held in place by some sort of 'clip' or whatever. I have 'pushed' 'pulled' and other things and I cannot get the mat to release??? Please, someone tell me how this is done????
