Hi Adieu, I held the trans in 2nd gear and it still makes the noise after 40 mph. If I leave off the gas it stops. I guess that would rule out wind noise. Thanks for your reply.
That was a great looking 2nd generation expy. I still have my 03. I decided to keep it for towing and use the Navigator for pleasure cruising.
Also can you tell me how to get a new thread to come up with bold type? Thanks
I get a humming noise from the front end between 40 and 50 mph when on the gas. It sounds like its coming from the motor. If I go outside the 40 to 50 or let off the gas it stops. No one has been able to figure out what is causing the problem. The vehicle is an 03 Expy Eddie Bauer. Any ideas...
Another area known to rust on expeditions is the radiator core support. I have an 03 Eddy Bauer with this issue. In order to replace it the whole front had to come off. I've been living with it. When the fan starts to hit the radiator it has to be replaced. I hope yours isn't rusted.
Andy, after you remote start your engine does, your Expedition turn off when you open the door. I have a Navigator and the engine turn off when you open the door. The dealer told me it's a safety feature. It's a PIA.
I thought the same thing when I first heard about stop start technology. It was on another vehicle awhile ago. Does the gas saved overcome the price of the new starters and batteries.
I think all of these SUV's have been overpriced. Whether it's the new expy, tahoe or yukon they are all priced out of reach of the average man. The escalade is even crazier with pricing over $100m.
I have an 03 Expedition and the tpms very low pressure alarm is going off every minute. The tires are fine. Does anyone have an idea on how to disable the system. Thanks
That's a good video and it's a nice truck but it doesn't make the 17 look like a dinosaur. We have too much technology in our vehicles now. It's getting nuts and the pricing up to 85 grand. Give me a break.
Andy, have you done any research on what effect all those car washes can do to the paint? I'm no expert but it would seem to me that washing a vehicle almost every day could cause damage. I wouldn't want to see you harm your new truck.
