I have been following your build and have a few questions. Why did you pick that yellow color for the bumper. It doesn't match the trim. Also what are you gaining my installing that bumper. Seems like a lot of work. Thanks
I use Lexol leather care kit. It has a cleaner and a leather preservative. Kit also includes 2 applicators. Work real well and it easy on the leather. About $12.

If it was my truck I would use the primer to even out the the paint and then sand the entire deck. Then put a light coat of primer and sand it with 600 grit. Then paint the base coat and the clear topcoat. You can get decent paint and TC from Automotivetouchup.com for about $40 delivered. I...
eluther3 I know what your saying about the durability of the truck. I've owned it for 7 years and it has been very good to me. It only left me stuck one time because of a rusted out break line. All the fluid leaked out and I had no breaks. I had to have it towed to my mechanic and repaired.
It...
That sucked that they didn't replace the plugs before installing the engine. They owe you big time. I get involved in repairs too. Things sometimes go wrong and I'm kicking myself. Most times it ends up working out after spending a lot more time then I wanted. Don't be hard on yourself. You...
I had the same problem when it got cold with the hood coming down. I ordered the supports that day for $25. I put them in and they work great. You should reconsider your wooden stick decision. It's only inviting a bump on the head. Another thing is when you sell the truck the buyer isn't...
I don't think $5000 is a bad price considering all the work that was done. I honestly don't believe it would be much less in the US. Great Job Enjoy the truck!!
I restored my headlights but still the low beam lights weren't bright enough. I didn't know that the bulbs get dimmer as they age. Though they either worked or they didn't. I bought new bulbs and it made quite a difference. Passing this along because it may help someone else.
I had to replace my rocker and have another area with a lot of rust and that is the radiator core support. Expy are know for this and its a pain to repair. The whole front end has to come off to replace it. The rest of the body is in very good condition though. I will probably keep it for at...
I'm curious how many miles you put on the truck since you bought it. Did it start to nickel and dime
you in the last 3 years? I have an 03 Expy EB and it's been really good with minimal repairs. Current miles is 113500. I have been looking for another SUV but I'm reluctant to get rid of...
I have that same color interior in mt EB and the steering wheel is leather. Get yourself a good leather cleaner and it should clean up fine. I cleaned mine and it looks great.
It sounds like the vehicle is in very good shape and was taken care of. This would make it worth more than the book value. Expeditions are great trucks.
I've had success stopping wind noise by getting my gloved fingers behind where the gaskets bend and pulling them outward. It may not solve this issue but definitely helps with wind noise.
Everyone wants to know what the dealer told you. I live in CT but wouldn't buy a car out of state unless it was certified. That way you can take it to any company dealer.
I'm looking forward to seeing the 18 as well. The problem is the price of a new well equipped Expedition. They are out of range for the average guy. The Tahoes and yukons are even more expensive. Unless your making big bucks buy a used model.
I use Lexol leather care kit to clean my Eddy Bauer seats. It cleans well and also includes a conditioner to apply after cleaning. Helps to preserve the leather.
I would not change the plugs unless it starts to miss. I've had an 03 for 7 years and had a coil go bad and had it replaced. Then another one went out a few months later so I had 8 new plugs and coils put on. It's difficult to change plugs on the 5.4 especially in the rear of the engine.
