    In your picture, the black plug (C290b) on the back of the radio is for parking aid signal, audio/climate control switch, dvd player, speed sensor and audio protocols it is not for the subwoofer. The light green plug (C2188d) next to it is for the subwoofer, rear audio control and audio protocols.

    If the battery hasn't been changed since new that about right, my truck did the same thing, all you have to do is look and see if the eye is green if its the original, if not the battery is bad.

    Be careful when trying to untighten or tighten because mine snapped off at the bracket and everytime I go to the ford dealer I keep forgetting to get one to hold the assist strap or handle.

    When I replaced my grille with a billet grille the original grille on my 03 XLT had 9 tabs with clips, 2 on each side and 5 across the bottom, then 2 push down tabs at the top with no clips. Not hard but requires some patience to keep from breaking something. Take your time is the key.

    Expedition is right, the f-150 is bolted to or part of the hood where as the expy attached to front bumper/fascia. Your friend might already know this and trying to play you. Just joking!
