Hello all.
I bought 2 pr of Xentec 6000k HID conversion 9006/9145. I have my 9006 lights in and upon turning lights on, they seem to need to warm up. Warm-up is only a few seconds but once their on, they come on with no problems afterwards.

So I'm under the front end ready to install my 9145 fog HID lights, but I dont/cant see a secure place to mount/adhere the ballast. Can anyone advise of placement and/or provide pics of where they have thier ballasts for their head/fog lights?

***NOTE***
I had to remove my Spyder halo/LED lights because the 9006 bulbs wouldnt fit in the headlight. Screwed up the wire clasp that holds the bulb in. So I'm looking at buying regular black headlights or the Spyder Halo/LED headlights that come with the 6000k HIDs.

when I installed mine in my fogs I put the zip tied the ballast to the bumper supports... I don't know how much space is behind your bumper but look for some were that is somewhat hidden from water/mud but is solid... probably some sort of bumper brace and attach to that... mine have been in my truck for almost 2 years and it probably see's more mud on accident then most see on purpose and they have held up well....

Sorry man i tried to upload pics on photobucket and i cant uplaod them to save my life i guess i didnt pay my bill lol!
But if you get under and look at the radiator theres a hole on it right before it meets the frame on each side right before they meet, i put 2 sided 3m tape (came with my ddm kit) and put the ballast inside and stuck it to the inside of the support and just electrical taped the wire connections.

I would rethink the bag idea because as much as it is meant to keep moisture out it will also keep moisture in. And the low beams i have the ballast mounted right where the headlight support and the headlights meet under the fender zip tied to the headlight support

if this sounds like chinese i will hopefully be able to post pics today

By the foglights under the bumper if you're lying on your back on a creeper and look straight up under your headlights, there is a flat portion that you can use, apply some super duty 3m double stick tape to the ballast and clean the area that you will apply the ballast to with some alcohol and once it stick, drill your holes very carefully for the bracket and attach the screws to secure it. That the way I did mine. Good luck

I put my fog ballast next to my low and high beam ballasts. They are all right next to each other. I will take pics tomorrow afterschool.

Here are pics from the passenger side. This is where the core support is at. I passed the ballast and wiring through the hole where the horn wiring and OEM foglight wiring goes through. And no I didn't tape or drill my ballasts in place, I just left them like that.

This is where I passed the wires and Ballast. This photo is looking from the bottom up, you can see where the ballast is.

Here is how I mounted mines. They are near the horns.

thanks guys...i've already asked WHOISMOOTOO about my next problem...so if my auto lights or if i manually turn on my lights after starting vehicle...i get a tone, my radio turns off, instrument cluster goes out and restarts...but i can still drive while this is happening...whats going on here? MOOTOO thinks maybe the ground from the HID/ballast may be shorting...any ideas from anyone else?

ok...say anytime the auto lights turn on upon start up...no problems...only after vehicle is started and i manually turn on light/switch to auto or auto kicks in while driving.
