I mean, it would be preferable to use the warm reading, but i feel like they wouldnt have a cold option if it werent accurate. *shrug* But anytime youre checking a tranny, smell and color are just as important as the level reading. Its a truly multi-sensory experience! Like LSD! Or so I'm told.- Nevin

Also, my owners manual says to replace the drivetrain fluids at 150k. Looking at the manual leaves me with 2 questions: 1. It gives me two options for transfer case fluid. If you crawl underneath from the passenger side just look at the rf part of the tranny. On top of it where a fill tube SHOULD be is a 19mm nut that is deep like a lug nut. Loosen it and underneath is a small plastic dipstick. Pull it out and check your atf like you did twenty years ago. I.e...- Nevin

Thanks for all the replies. That video that you sent was one i was thinking of. I have never been steered wrong by any CRC product. Also my mileage was nearly 21mpg on the screen bringing it home on the 80 mile trip from the dealer. And its been 18.5 or so dricing around town.- Nevin

Sea foam and power foam are not the same, i think you may be mistaken. The amsoil power foam is made to spray into the intake while the engine is running and then you shut it off and let it sit on the valves for 10 to 15 minutes then run the vehicle again. And im sorry for the typos. My phones autocorrect is very awful. Thanks foe the swift reply. And the reason about asking about the power foam is simply because since i already have high miles im sure the buildup is already there. A catch can is fine to fend off future buildup but its not...- Nevin

Yeah i was looking at a catch can or something. I used to run subarus and air oil separators were quite popular. It was one of my favorite mods. Does such a thing exist for the ecoboost? Thr hoses from the pxv fed to a piece that threaded into the oil fill and the old vapor would drop right...- Nevin
