It still drives about the same but yes i can tell that it is much more responsive when i accelerate. And on the highway the rpms are not constantly pegged above 4000. Its likes to stay in 4th gear now cruising.
Haha yea what can i say?
Now im tryin to find a way to make my 38.5s look small, so i can have an excuse to go to 40s. But that is probably what im gonna put on next anyways since they dont make the tires i have any more.
ok cool, yea that is quick. I am wanting to get them installed before Apr. 9 so that shouldnt be a problem at all. Do you have to get new shocks also or will my shocks that came w/ my 6in. lift be fine?
OK well the grears are in now and i love them. The engine isnt working as hard now. I dont have mpgs yet im still trying to run through some tanks to find out but i do have rpm numbers.
55mph - 1600rpm
60mph - 1750rpm
65mph - 1850rpm
70mph - 2000rpm
Yea i don't see any problem with going with 37's as long as you dont mind some trimming. The problem will be with how wide your tires are. With 13.5in wide or more you at least need -24mm offset rims or do like i did and go with wheel spacers. I have 2in. spacers in the rear and 1.5in. in the front.
No actually bull bars do really good in accidents. I had mine for 2 days and i rear ended a honda accord doing about 25mph and it completly crushed the trunk and shoved it all the way to the rear window. It totaled the accord and the only thing that happened to me was a small dent on my bull...
Thanks, and its not too bad. I have always had a pretty good sound system so when i get tired of listening to my exhaust i would just turn the music up and i wouldnt even be able to tell.
Yea ive got a superchip in mine, i had to run it on performance mode before i broke my rearend to compensate for the 3.55s, but now once i get my truck back i can put it on 87 octane and hopefully that will get me much better mpgs.
dang panda you must driver like ur in nascar or something. i was even getting 11mpg with stock 3.55 and my 38s before she broke and when the engine was running good.
Haha ok thanks Panda, that works for me! yea i had flowmasters for about six months but it just wasnt loud enough for me, so i cut them out and had tubes welded in their place. 100% improvement in sound.
Here is my exhaust, custom cat-back true duals with no mufflers.

Thanks for the website Tony. But it couldnt handle my tire size. I have 355/80/r16 (38.5x14.5x16). The cost for yukon 4.56s front and rear, master install kit for the rear and an upgraded yukon limited slip in the rear was a little under $2250 (labor, shipping, parts, tax). And i will definetly...
Walnuts- thanks for the input, i was really considering 4.88s but i decided go with the 4.56s due to my mechanics advice and several friends. hopefully i can get 17mpg with my new gears, i would be ecstatic with 14mpg. i also have a k&n cai, straight pipe exhaust and a superchips programmer...
I am in the process of getting my gears done, and wanted to know if anyone has put 4.56s in their expys? If so what size tires are you running and what kind of mpgs are you getting. Also what rpms is the engine running around 60-70mph.
