    I even tow my boat with overdrive. In the hills, if you feel the transmission hunting (dropping down then going back up repeatedly) then you may want to take the OD off. It is on by default every time you start your Expy.

    It could very well be wheel bearings but before I started throwing parts at it, have you removed the wheel and spun the hub or checked for slop? It could even be your tires, have you tried rotating them to see if the noise is still there?
