I bought the Monroe kit and installed it myself. I personally believe that the strutmaster's kit is the same thing just a different color. The only thing with installing springs and struts and everything is that if you tow alot you will have a small squat but nothing substancal. I also have a...
Mine does the same thing and also shakes too. I have found that it is caused by bad gas, so I usually ride it out till half a tank and then fill up with shell gas usually. After that it goes away.
Ok sounds great, I'll be out of town till the evening the 5th but I can ship them out January 6th for you. To be honest I'm not sure if they are variable or not. If you could tell me how to check them out I will have a friend check for me and get back to you as soon as possible.
I have a Air to Coil conversion Kit for sale. It is the one for 97-03. It is rear only, it has the coils and the shocks as shown in the pictures. The price is $175+ shipping. It is the same as the one from strutmasters.com.
I also have one coil-over for sale also. $50+ shipping. There is no...
I think you might get a better response if you post your questions in another section. Probly general discussion or suspension. I can answer one question for you tho. I had the air ride suspension in my expy and it would make a sound like a air pump compressor, I've learned that its normal...
Ok, Thank you for your answers. This whole conversion has been a pain in the ass, Both the bolts on the struts in the front (the ones on the bottom) were rusted in there and where I'm working doesn't have the amount of tools I am use too. :( The only side that hasn't given me problems was the...
I am in the middle of replacing the rear shocks on a 2001 Expedition. I am wondering if there are any tricks to replacing the driver side rear shock? I have gotten the lower bolt loose, but the top one is in between the gas tank and frame.
You may still have problems with it after they replace the compressor. Because there is a glitch or something in the computer programing that causes it to keep blowing the dryer cap off. I'm not sure about the years but I'm sure someone else can chime in.
I went thru this not 2 weeks ago, I'm actually in the replacing the air bags with coils. My compressor drier blew the cap straight off, it's located on a 01 expy (im not sure on a 03) right in front of the windshield washer reservoir. I would check there first. If I were you, I would replace it...
I am switching over to coils because my dryer on the air compressor blew the cap like the TSB says. My question is the rest of the compressor worth any money?
Thank you
I hear everyone talking about the torsion twist. But I can't find a write on or how to do it, Could you explain how to do it? Also is there any certain place to put the coil boosters? I have seen the ones for the bottom and the ones that go in the coils.
Thank you for your help
Thank you for your answer. What would be a good location to put the switch in? If I had a lot of time and skill, I would mount it in the overhead console in the garage door opener area.
I have 2001 Expedition XLT with the overhead compass and Temp Gauge that has stopped working, just the readout, everything else in the overhead compartment works still the rear air and the lights work. Anyone experienced this or know where to start looking?
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I received my Expy a few months ago. I found the site trying to solve a problem with the air suspension. I know now that the air compressor dryer burst. So i am switching over to the coils, mostly cause I would like to lift it eventually. I am looking at the...
