Thanks so much for the quick reply, J! How about just the bluetooth? Any thoughts? If I could get to the music on my phone without the AUX cord I'd be a happy camper! :)
I have a 2007 Expy and my radio could sure use an upgrade. I'm going to guess that at some point, Ford put radios with Bluetooth in them as standard equipment. Am I correct? What year did that begin? Second, is Sync part of the radio system? If so, I'm wondering. I'd heard that Ford had...
Well, I bought a latch from a wrecking yard. When I got it all metal connector rods from the latch were attached to it, as was the cable. Installing it was pretty much a snap! So, make a mental note. Leave all wires attached it if you pull your latch for any reason. The hardest part was...
Ok, so mine's a 2007 SSV. Since the SSV and the F-150 spposedly use the same pans, should the F-150's console bolt right in, or am I missing something? I guess I should ask the same question about the front seats. Are they too, swapable?
You should have bought it with the bench seat! Then we could've swapped my buckets, which I hate... for your bench! :) In stone and vinyl and I'd have paid you! :)
Yah....... And when I typed in door latch for 2007 Expy it says 2002-2007. Looks like a cross generation part that doesn't include 2008. Damn! Lucky YOU .... and poor ME! LOL!
Well I feel a little stupid! I've been trying to find a metal/chrome door handle for the inside driver's door handle. Now, after breaking two plastic handles I find no metal one; order another plastic one; pull off the panel and find it's not the handle at all! It's the cable in the latch...
I, too, hate the front seats in my 2007! So, I'm writing to validate you! LOL! I'd give about anything to have my 2001 Expy seats (60/40 with fold down armrest) in my 2007 - if they were the same color! Yep! SSV and Medium Stone. For some reason mine came with vinyl in the back and cloth...
I have looked on Ebay myself. The problem is, while they say chrome, they don't say metal! And the two I broke were both chrome... over plastic! Dang it! :)
Ah-Hah! I should have been more clear in my original post! I'm talking about the inside door handle - not the outside one.
Pulled into my gas station the other day. Forgot that the inside handle had just broken. Ice had frozen my driver's side window in place. Sooo, had to roll down the...
Well, I just broke my second plastic driver's door handle in my 2007 Expedition. Does anyone know if anybody makes a metal door handle so I don't have to take my door apart again after the next time? This is getting ridiculous! Thank you!
I can't afford to buy new tires. If I could, I'd just buy the 17"s. I have to buy used and there are a lot of 20" studded tires. Just no 17"s. But thank you both for replies. :)
I have a 2007 XLT Expedition with 17" wheels. I was reading posts for the week and tried to get familiar with 20" wheels. But, all I can say is, my email isn't dumbneasy fer nuthin'! :)
I live in mountainous Montana and have been looking for a set of used studded snow tires before winter...
One goes from the on speaker connector right to the speaker and the other runs through a PC board. Anybody know which colors go with which connector? Took so long to get my new windows regulator I forgot! :)
Well, I'm back again! Still stumped about seats. Bought a generic center console and still unhappy. Does anyone know if my 2007 "SSV" Expy would allow me to bolt in F150 seats? And how come the F150's get a center console and I didn't? Miffed! LOL!
Being a new guy on the forum I don't know if I'm posting something new, or so old you're tired of reading about it. So? Whatever! LOL!
I wondered over to wikipedia and found that in several instances where heretofore I've been seeing many parts saying 2004-2008 may not apply. It turns out...
That's what I got, too. Yes, it's a Special Service Vehicle (SSV); but No it's not a Special Purpose Vehicle. (SPV?)
So, will seats out of an F150 fit? Because if they will, I'm dropping in a center seat to keep from going nuts! LOL!
Holy Cow, Andy! You got all of that out of those numbers? I sure hope you were able to cut and paste, because typing all of that out would have knocked me out! :) You said it was a fleet vehicle but not an SSV. However, in minor options it says Special Services Vehicle. Isn't that what SSV...
My VIN is 1FMFU165X7LA87143. So in having and SSV does this mean seats from an F150 would bolt right in to my pan? Does that include putting a 20% center seat in? Or even better, someone said that some SSV's had 60/40 seats?
Thank you for your help!
