Parts like these are scavenged off by the junk yards and sold off on eBay etc as used parts, long before the public has access to them. You'll find the part on eBay for half the retail price for new.
A 9000lb dry trailer would be outside
This simply isn't going to be feasible or realistic.
We have a 32ft trailer (a 2020 Keystone Bullet Ultra Lite). Base weight is 5500lb. Carrying capacity is 2100lb. Hitch weight is 600lb. We use a Blue Ox WDH. We rarely haul full fresh/black/grey...
For the last year or so I've noticed the occasional odd behaviour and noise from my 2020 Expedition.
Our street is on a slight hill, and the Expedition is parked facing uphill. When I start it cold, and then pull away without waiting, when the engine gets to about 2000 rpm it feels like it's...
This feature isn't a camera. It adds a rotary dial on the dash that you use to back a trailer up. You put a sticker on your trailer tongue, input all the measurements from the back up camera (distance to hitch, distance to sticker, length of trailer, distance to axles etc). You can then back...
Say what you will, but every winter my power running boards would seize up here when we got into the -30c range. The cold mixed with the road pickle (a salt and sand mix they spray on the roads) would render them inoperable.
I followed this YouTube video, and they worked flawlessly all winter...
Maybe the fuse is loose and wiggling into and out of contact?
Or maybe the fuse burnt out partially, and there's a small contact still happening?
Best change it and see if that resolves the issue. It's certainly the cheapest thing to try first!
Have you checked all the fuses are seated correctly? There's 2 fuse boxes. One under the hood, and one under the dash.
The passenger compartment fuse box, fuse 23, controls:
- Power window switch.
- Power mirror switch.
- Left-hand front door zone module.
Sure sounds like all the things...
But... LEDs don't use ballasts... HID bulbs do, but not LEDs.
You have a 2018 Platinum? That came as standard with LED headlights. And they all came with LED running lights.
Your vehicle doesn't have any ballasts in it.
Edit: I just checked, and no gen 4 comes with HID. Only LED and...
Watching this video, makes me think that some of the buttons on the bottom are loose. That's why slight downward pressure on the drink vessel will stop the rattle.
He has a previous video showing how to remove the cupholders, but it's a 2018 and the trim looks different to my 2020 Plat...
When you approach the truck with the key in your pocket, the power running boards deploy. Puddle (and some other) lights come on etc.
To my mind, our Expedition knows I'm standing near it with the key, because when I touch the door handle it unlocks the truck. I can't imagine an extra sensor...
Flashing something that is not working properly is a sure-fire path to permanently bricking it. You need to get it working the way it is before you do anything as potentially destructive as flashing the firmware.
What happens when you scan the truck with Forscan? Does the APIM respond and...
Certain trims do - Platinum for sure.
Depends on how the logic has been programmed for these airbag seatbelts. None of us can test this non-destructively. Only the Ford engineers know for sure.
If I had to hazard a guess, the risk of not firing the airbag for a belt that is buckled, is...
Checked my 2020 Platinum yesterday and it has the blue check valve hose. I wonder if that was there from new, or if they swapped it out during a service...
We have a 2020 Expedition Platinum. A friend has the 2019 Navigator (Reserve I think).
On his truck, he has approach detection. Is there a way to enable that on ours in Forscan, or is there a module on the Lincoln that isn't on the Expedition?
I always thought of them as pretty much the...
