    As someone who lives in the frozen north... no. These aren't manual stick vehicles with user controllable clutches. Screwing around with the pseudo-manual gear selector on a fully auto vehicle to get yourself out of trouble is a one way ticket to the wrecking yard.

    And yet, the 2018 manual shows these for fuses 25 and 76. All this is to repeat what I said already - there are no dedicated headlight fuses. Those two fuses are for the entire BCM. Pulling them would not be advised. As per @bb37 above - the fact the high beams work and not the low beams...

    That’s an iPhone thing. Mine does the same. This is happening before even CarPlay starts up. Defaults to a radio station. Sometimes a frequency with no station there so it’s just static. It’s so annoying.

    Nope - the gen 4 Sync 3 defaults to a set volume. So even if you leave it loud when you shut it off last, it starts at a set low volume. The flip side is if you leave it all the way on 0 it defaults back up to 8 or whatever.

    You're choosing AT for winter/snow performance? You have that all wrong. Snow and ice performance has much less to do with how aggressive or cool the tread pattern is... it's about rubber compound.

    Ding ding ding. If you don't have the factory rear entertainment system, this is the answer. Couple of tablets, seat back tablet mounts, route the charge cable through the mount arm and down inside the seat fabric and done. Clean factory-like install.

    There's an aftermarket Android "Tesla Style" (hence t-style) head unit that replaces the stock unit in the early Gen 4 Expeditions.

    SmartStream If that head unit can get the FordPlay app, then maybe. I am assuming it's an Android. I had a quick look in the Google Play store and can't see it there. In fact - the FordPlay app is gone from the Apple App Store too... It seems Ford has killed off the FordPlay app... Miracast...

    No idea what the last half of your question means, but on ours you are able to stream from your phone to the headrests using the SmartStream feature of the FordPlay app.

    Fair enough - it's gravel, sand, and salt on the roads for 6 months of the year here, so there's that. I also don't have time to properly hand wash any more, but I use the self wash services now. But even then, at the self wash I watch guys scrub their muddy trucks/wheels etc with the bodywork...

    As you’ll see from my profile photo, we have the largest Yakima box on ours too. That thing has been loaded to the brim and done thousands of KMs though the mountains in -30c and +30c. Never had a problem. Never once thought about replacing them.

    The slightly longer spring - 540183. It really only applies the slightest pressure. Will know if they really worked the next time I’m in a drive through beside the wall. Came in a six pack so a few spares for when these rust out.
