    NEED PERFORMANCE UPGRADE ADVICE

JTFG, even if there were numbers they'd be probably pumped up. Unless I gave them to you ;) I have been modding and racing cars, trucks, motorcycles, and if I had an S-ton more money--boats. Never, ever trust a manufacturer's dyno numbers, anecdotes of the guy who installed it, and dyno...

I finished installing warn VR 12-S winch on Expedition 20

My 2020 FX4/HD tow (only options) with 11K miles as measured empty, full tank of gas. Opened the hood and added exactly 70 pound of dumbells, very carefully over the radiator section straddling the hood latch with wooden spacers to prevent crushing and to spread the weight better. Suspension...

I finished installing warn VR 12-S winch on Expedition 20

No-offense taken Suomy. Just hard to measure the exact weight, exact measured compression, etc. I will try it today w/75-80 lbs of weight (carefully) with before/after measurements.

I finished installing warn VR 12-S winch on Expedition 20

I really wish he would swing back and report in. One of my interests is how much his springs/shocks compressed from the added weight--b/c I am adding Bilstein 5100 shocks that give 1.5 inches of lift--but if 75 pounds extra on the nose will compress that lift by an inch, I will go with the F150...

    F150 5100 Shocks F/2-inch of Lift Excactly?

I thought there are other rings on it? Or is that the "lowest" setting?

    F150 5100 Shocks F/2-inch of Lift Excactly?

Any of y'all adjust your Bilstein 5100 F150 front shocks to produce ONLY 2 inches of lift, as opposed to (from what I have garnered here) the full 3 inches? Also, is there any valving wonkiness with a 5100 series F150 shock up front, and a 5100 Expedition shock in the rear?

I think they are still on backorder at the below. Paid $484, shipped for all four Expy shocks from https://www.jackit.com/ You may want to use that link exactly... YMMV. I will update later today/tomorrow...

Does Anybody Here Worry About Rust?

I actually reside very close to Mother Ocean these days, and was concerned. I wanted to see if there was supposed to be some additional protection these days for Ford but can't recall it. I will look into some of these spray prodcuts, but heard spray on undercoating can trap moisture and...

Does Anybody Here Worry About Rust?

Does Anybody Here Worry About Rust? Or is that still just the Toyo guys? I know of Toyotas having some frame issues in the past, but thought I heard of either Ford, Chevy, or both doing "something" to further prevent frame rust? Either way, thought I'd see what the hive had regarding this...

So cutting of that top lip (is it metal or plastic) and for sure blocking some major portion of the lower radiator.

    87 vs 89 vs 93 octane - my findings

I have a very well-tuned butt dyno. And I can tell just enough difference with 93 vs 87. I always run 87 (or 86 in Texas) until I get ready to tow, and then I run 93 just prior for a bit--to wake up whatever watches the octane. She is just a smidge quicker, especially at part throttle...

    Normal coolant temps?

Remember modern vehicles tend to run hotter for emissions and safely through the use of synthetics.

    Grille Removal Step by step

Soumy, THANK YOU for doing all the hard work, and documenting it. With these things the more pics the better lol. Can you do me a favor, and glance over at this pic and inform us (since you have a fresh memory) of what needs to get cut, removed, and modded? Here is the link...

FWIW it weighs 72 LB with the synthetic rope. Also looks like there is some cutting, and I don't know about what gets air fed from that area?

    Ford ESP Advice Please

All ESP is insurance for what Ford no longer insures you vehicle. More come out at a loss than ahead, b/c that is the nature of most of these warranties, which is why they stay in business. Ford makes a generally good product, but you never truly know, no matter how well your vehicle is...

I finished installing warn VR 12-S winch on Expedition 20

Welcome Alhrir! Please tell us what it took to accomplish this, as there are many here seeking this as an option. And please provide more pictures :) Research shows with synthetic rope, it weighs 55 lbs--but I am interested in suspension compression as well.

Expy kicking ass on this trip

I have owned 4 previous, solid axle Expys. While not inexpensive, they did A LOT for the money. It is an even more amazing machine in its current form, and while I have several druthers (sorry, the dial shifter is awful, and for sure one of my top three don't likes). But for what I paid for...
