Gen 2 Body Mounts and info

I updated the Ford part numbers listed in the original post using the info I got from the local Ford dealer. I have also attached the documents I got from the local dealer. I needed a new COP boot and asked the gentlemen in the parts department if he could help me identify the body mount part...

    What hose is this?

There's 2 vacuum lines there. If you follow both of them to the left in the picture they connect to the 4wd hub solenoid. At the solenoid the lower hose connects to the engine and the upper connects to the 4wd hubs called Integrated Wheel Ends at the front wheel bearing hubs. The vacuum line...

2003 EB EVAP connector from tank to canister

I'd be surprised if it broke due to tank pressure. I would think it got broken by being handled roughly or hit maybe. I have no idea where to get a replacement for it aside from a salvage yard. If a salvage yard isn't an option I would be inclined to try a brass barbed coupler to join the 2...

2003 EB EVAP connector from tank to canister

I can't find anything on the part itself and I don't recall it from when I had my tank out. I'd suggest taking it to the dealer or parts store and trying to match it up to something. You might also be able to repair it with epoxy, like JBWeld. If you try that route scuff it with some...

Rack & Pinion Play in Steering

I'd go with grade 5 minimum, grade 8 preferred. Nylok nuts aren't too hard to find and add a washer if needed to replace the flange. Otherwise whatever will work is fine in this case, it would be for me. You can get a local machine shop to weld something to the bolt head to keep it from...

Gen 2 Body Mounts and info

While replacing the passenger side rocker panel I found the #2 passenger side lower body mount bushing was dry rotted. I ordered a replacement and when I pulled it apart much to my surprise I found the inside of the upper body mount was pretty much rusted away. So I've been looking for a...

Have a lot of questions about fixing my 2005 Expedition XLT

Lots to unpack here. For the paint I have no idea. It looks like an XLT and I thought the XLT was unpainted plastic trim. So someone here will correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect the trim was painted due to fading. The local auto body supply house can scan your paint and mix a very close...

    HISSING NOISE IN BRAKE PEDALS

I agree it sounds like the brake booster is leaking. To test it carefully pull the vacuum hose off the booster and plug or cap the end of the hose with something that can't get sucked in. Then you can see if your lean symptoms clear. Do not drive with the vacuum hose removed from the booster...

    2H and 4H work. A4WD and 4L don't.

I'd start with reading codes, you'll need a scanner that can see the 4WD module. A fairly high end scanner will also show you what range is selected for the transfer case. Without this you have to look, listen and test with a multimeter. There's no sound in the transfer case shift motor for...

Where to find a legit online store for lifting accessory for my Ford Exped '03 XLT.

It depends on how much lift you want. For 2-3" of lift I believe you are pretty much limited to strut spacers. This is certainly the most popular lift option for them. There are a lot of options for strut spacers and you can pick them up anywhere, you're issue may be a company that will ship...

    ROUGH IDLE WHEN IN GEAR??

If it's running rough we can hope there are some codes. They don't all trigger the CEL and in some cases it takes a couple cycles of a code being seen before it will trigger the CEL. The intake manifold as you are well aware requires removing and disconnecting quite a bit. You might...

AC CLUTCH RELAY FOR FORD EXPEDITION 2003 MODEL

Best I can tell the F0AB-14B192-AA is a 5-pin 30-amp relay. The DH22-14B192-DA is a 5-pin 40amp relay. So it should work, but is rated higher than stock which it not a huge issue so long as the fuse remains the correct size.

    Connecting rod bearings too tight

That is clearly too tight. Still the plasti-gage in a couple places around the bearing would be a good idea to get a better idea if it's out of round or if it's consistent it may be poor bearing tolerance/manufacturing.

    ROUGH IDLE WHEN IN GEAR??

I'm struggling to follow the hoses, but I don't see any glaring issues with the routing. Any codes? Fuel pressure checked?

    Replacing a rocker panel

It took me 8 days to complete the rocker panel replacement. My days varied between 2.5-6hrs with the exception of paint day which was 8.5hrs. I used 3M Cavity Wax inside the rocker panel as recommended by 2 trusted body techs. I noticed it pretty much plugged up the built-in drains. I...

    Front AC hot, rear cold

That just looks like a protective plug for something until it's installed. I'm not certain though. There's 2 expansion valves in our trucks. The one behind the PCM is for the front A/C, the one for the rear A/C is in the back of the truck above the rear right rear wheel well. I'm not...

Everything attached to fuse 2 isn’t working which includes the rear brake lights, turn signals, ADVTRAC. Fuse is good but is there a relay?

According to the manual for my 2004 fuse 1.2 handles the IVD stop lamp relay, brake pedal position switch and the turn signal relay. Those 3 are all in different locations. The brake pedal position switch is on the brake pedal. The turn signal relay is slightly to the right of the parking...

    Air Suspension code for ForScan

Good luck finding that. I have looked for years and finally just gave up. I swapped my 2004 to conventional springs 8yrs ago. I kept putting off buying the so called light out module that fools the air suspension into thinking everything is fine. Pretty much gave up on buying it now, I'll...

    Connecting rod bearings too tight

Yikes. Well I suppose you could sanding the bearings down some or replace the connecting rods. A used set would probably be better than what you have right now.

    Front AC hot, rear cold

It's right behind the passenger side of the PCM. If you stand next to the passenger front fender, at the front of the tire look across the battery ground post and you'll see the valve behind the PCM.

2003 Navigator coolent leak between cylinder heads.

I'm not familiar with this fitting. Assuming it steel I would clean it up with some brake cleaner and either weld the pin holes or fill them with JB Weld and then grind it smooth.

    No Crank No Start

Assuming the engine is not running, but the ignition is set to ON you should have no oil pressure and the PCM only displays that it's low. If the engine is running you have some real issues. Try this thread for free service manuals that will have some diagrams for the grounds...
