The plastic gets caught in the opening of the oil pick up and the metal screen. You may want to drop the pan and inspect it. It restricts the oil pressure.
I would want a little more info. Such as: Are they replacing, just the valve body(minor surgery, drop the pan), Rebuilding the tranny, in house or are they replacing the entire transmission with an brand new one? I don't like that she told you "parts arriving". I would not want a rebuild, in any...
The EVAP monitor won't run when the tank is above 3/4 full, or outside temp is below 40 degrees. It will just show monitor 'not ready'. It also takes 2 failures to trigger the CEL light. Most states allow for 1(or 2) monitors to be not ready, for state inspection. If you keep your tank between...
OK Seinfeld. The newer Ford Expeditions have used a 6R80 or similar 10 speed electronically controlled transmission. How is that completely unrelated? You're just a smart ass 'funny guy'. Probably had a few rings around your eye or need one.
My cousin has a 2019 and accidentally hit the hatch button on his remote. He had backed in and was close to a pole. The power motor lifted it, right into it. It left a chunk of paint missing on the hatch. Beware of this problem...
It looks like oil. The oil pan looks dry however. The rubber plug, missing in bell housing, is to access the torque converter drain plug. It could be dripping and slinging trans fluid, as it spins. Someone may of 86ed the plug to keep it from building up. The front seal on the transmission my be...
My local automatic car wash sprays rainX(for an upgrade). When it's busy everyone gets it. My windshield 'beads' after I get it. I also notice dried, dirty water spots in the morning. If the blades are good quality and newer, it's not needed.
The Air Dragon. I found this at Ollies for $16. Plugs in to 12V or has a built in battery. It has a long cord and a nice case. It stops at the pressure you set on a digital screen. Inflates very fast.
I found a factory subwoofer at the local pull a part for $7. Are all the 2000/1st gen models, pre wired for the Sub or do they use a different harness. I am only asking, because I see you just pulled the harness.
I like everything but the low stance and front bumper. The OEM stance was better. I think the Expedition looked better original. I am not a fan of the 'aftermarket' look. Some the upgrades seem like overkill.
Ford used different size lugs on the 1st gen Expeditions. The 4x4( alloy 17") xlt, and Eddie Bauer alloy had larger ones than the Eddie Bauer(17" steel/chrome) and 4x2 and 16 versions. In short, the alloy wheels will be too big on a OEM steel version lugs.
In 1956-57 the Ford Y block had 'Thunderbird' valve covers. My grandfather had them on his Ford and it was not a Thunderbird. However interesting this is, it's wrong and should be fixed. To me, if I was thinking about buying it used, I would have reservations and questions. I drove a 2020...
I run the K&N in my 5.0l Mustang GT. There is a 'K&N' air filter setting on some of the tuners. That tells me, they are letting more air into the engine. Re-mapping with the tuner takes advantage of it. The OEM paper original seemed very restrictive(I posted a photo). I am getting almost 19mpg...

I just saw 2001 Excursion diesel selling for $22K. If that Expedition only had 6,000mi and was from Florida it could be worth $13K. I am always on the look out for older, super low mile vehicles. They are out there.
The ones on ebay work fine and are less than $7. I also found one in a junk yard car(free). I was able to self program both. If your vehicle has an after market remote start, The 2nd key may be zip tied to the steering column. Installers do this to bypass the PATS system. I bought a PATSII key...
I did mine, it was dripping/rusted. It takes (don't quote me) 2.7qts 75W140 synthetic. It's not cheap. The Diff is not a limited slip. It's a basic open gear set. It doesn't need the posi modifier additive. Make sue you remove the fill plug, before starting the job. The sealant used on the cover...
