I've always supported the engine by placing a 2x4 at the back of the oil pan with a hydraulic jack under that. There is a bunch of plastic on these engines now, you don't want to bust any of it.
Visually check the harness where it goes by the exhaust system to make sure it hasn't burnt and shorted out.
Check here for how the fuel trims work. It explains how the O2 sensors and pcm work with the data they send to adjust the air/fuel mixture...
Lets see, you remove the cats, that throws codes that the cats aren't working properly because the downstream O2 sensor has the same reading as the upstream sensor for each bank.
The reading fluctuates because the pcm alternates between rich and lean which is picked up by the upstream sensor...
Welcome to the site. Save your money for the child & buy a used Expy. There are way to many electronic controls on the vehicles today. I teach this stuff also & I see the price for repairs.
What you want and what you need are vastly different things.
Welcome to the site. The 2003/2004 have issues with the central junction box(cjb) fuel pump circuit. I would check your wiring to see if it has been bypassed so that the pump comes on with the key instead of being controlled be the pcm. The other possibility is a failing ignition switch & key...
Did you use any additives in the past?
There is no such thing as rejuvenating the rubber seals. Think about it, as the engine runs the seals wear. How is an additive going to "add" material to the seal? It doesn't - it adds a chemical that will slightly swell the material and "magically" it...
Welcome to the site. That is pretty high mileage for a gas motor so you are seeing the internal wear it has now with the oil consumption. I would keep adding oil as necessary and avoid the snake oil additives. The exhaust leak doesn't have anything to do with the oil consumption but should be...
Lets see, those of us that work on ac systems spend $250-350 for a set of stand alone pressure gauges, $4,000-$7000 on just one recovery unit that also has built in gauges. So I think being able to know what the low and high side pressures are might be important.
It would be prudent to change...
Get somewhere that is away from traffic preferably that is going uphill. You want to load the engine. Place trans in low gear and run engine fast enough to cause the check engine light to come on. Hold it there running rough long enough to log a code.
Read code.
Effect of exhaust leak will show...
Reminds me of a quote from the "Cool Hand Luke" movie. "What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some people you just cain't reach. And you get what we've got here today....."
What part is next?
This isn't the same but consider the cheaper 120v inverters. They put out 120v just like the more expensive inverters but there is a difference in the ac wave output. The cheap units are digital, more expensive units are pure sine wave. Electric motors run by electromagnetic interactions with...
The high side switch is a NC (normally closed) switch, opens when a preset pressure is exceeded. Since you have to jump it that means the switch is probably bad, test with a meter to make sure. Which ac option do you have - manual or EATC?
Here is a link that covers your problem. Two...
Don't condem the compressor yet. His low/high side pressures have swapped. How about that...
Where is the switch located that you are jumping? Near the condensor or in the accumulator?
The only way you can build that high of pressure on the low side and have low pressure on the high side is to have failed valves in the compressor.
The odd thing is the high side switch should be closed normally and open with high pressure. You shouldn't have to jump it.
Minimum is 30 minutes at 29 in of mercury. Longer is better since it will boil off any moisture in the system.
Four and a half cans of refrigerant not hours.
Are you sure you have the low and high readings correct? It makes better sense if you have them swapped.
Static pressure should be...
Since the topic of exploding batteries is at hand, any time you smell rotten eggs around the battery it is an indication of excessive gassing (hydrogen). This usually occurs when there is an internal short between the plates. We are talking Big Bang here and it isn't a theory. Best thing to do...
Proceed very carefully. Do not apply power to any wires that connect to the pcm when they are connected to it. If you ignore this warning just make sure your test instrument is approved for use with ecm/pcm.
The pcm should be disconnected prior to checking continuity on the harnesses. Do not...
The 2019 wiring diagrams are not available to me online now. I'm looking at the 2018 which are, which trim model is your Expy? You may be able to install a branch circuit off the driver seat module. Just need to know what you have in order to compare the diagrams to hopefully what you have.
The...
The article states exactly what is happening - you have a moving magnetic field at the charger that is also moving through a coil in the phone. This generates electricity in the coil which then charges the battery in the phone.
What can vary between wireless chargers is the strength of the...
Interesting Read on Wireless Charging:
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/sep/13/apple-iphone-8-iphone-x-what-is-wireless-charging-do-i-need-it
Does the phone heat up?
Yes, most phones and some chargers heat up slightly on the back where the wireless charging is taking place...
If I remember correctly the 03 and 04 are known to fry the central junction box circuit that has the fuel pump relay soldered on.
There is a thread on here from Bedrck47 that runs you through installing a jumper to bypass the relay.
