03 Ford Expedition 5.4L Stall and no start right away.

Start with getting a reading on the fuel pressure. KOEO should be 35 psi or higher up to 45-50psi. Read again when it quits. You won't get a code for fuel pressure on this generation, no sensor monitoring it.

If you replaced it with a Ford part the service manual says to use a special tool. You may be able to adjust it by checking continuity with the plug disconnected between pins 10 & 12 in both park and neutral.

There is a procedure to follow in lining up the range selector to the neutral position. Did you follow it? Ahhh... the importance of only working on one issue at a time...

Then you don't need another ignition switch. They are not supposed to have power during the test, just continuity. The continuity test is a resistance test, under a specific threshold of resistance you will get a tone from your meter. Above the threshold you will get no tone but a measurement...

Switch disconnected. Testing input/output at the switch: pin 4 to 7 in start pin 4 to 6 in accessory and run pin 4 to 1 in run and start Each test should tone when the circuit path is good. Any that fails means a bad switch.

Continuity setting is the first yellow one to the right of 200 ohms resistance. Be careful with that meter "10A max unfused" means it burns/explodes if overloaded.

That tells you the pcm is supplying the ground to complete the circuit, but you do have a break in the wire. Before replacing it you should confirm with a continuity test from the ign switch plug to the cjb connector. While the meter is hooked up you can move/bend the harness where accessible...

Minor update to using the long jumper wire. Since there is more than one circuit at the ignition switch and we are only looking at one of them we are changing the test procedure. Remove the starter relay, install test light or meter to check for voltage in the relay socket for 86. When the...

What? It isn't even midnight yet! I'm usually up to 3am since I'm off work now. Good luck with finding the break. You need a special tool to find them and most mechanics don't have it. Without the tool it is easier to run a new wire. Don't run a new wire yet or cut the existing wire, you need to...

Yes, I would make the last connection at #4 so it is easier to work with. Just touch the wire to #4 to make the starter clunk. If you hear it then you can keep the connection on longer to crank longer. I only do this in case there may be additional problems and avoid letting more smoke out. The...

Break in the wire. Usually happens when the tilt wheel is raised and lowered often. Do you have soldering iron and heat shrink tubing? Do you have enough wire to make a jumper from ign switch plug #4 to #11 at the cjb?

yes, should be one wire on each connector. If 11 doesn't have power then 1 will not also.

04 Navi No Start-No Crank No PWR to OBD

If you connect pin 1 to pin 4 of the ignition switch plug, both are positive voltage. That will not do anything to cause you to let the smoke out. Still need to jump 4 & 7 then check pin 11 and 1 at the cjb. Both should have power. Also double check the wire color for each pin, anytime they...
