Cut the rear axels... just do it.

I highly doubt any imbalance issue. Our tires are turning at ~600 rotations per mile so even if you were going 100mph you might see 1200 rpm at a ~1/2" radius. Running over a dog shit would cause more vibration.

What is the optimal oil change interval?

I'm sure you meant Fumoto. I went with F107SX so that I could clock the nipple just the way I wanted. I put a hose clamp on the valve part to prevent it from ever opening without me knowing. https://www.fumotousa.com/f107sx.html I also purchased the nipple connector HK-3/8 but I think the...

Replaced factory RT1252 with RT1258 today

@Hellwig Did you replace the seal around the thermostat or just reuse? Do you recall the part number if replaced?

What is the optimal oil change interval?

I would just put it back in the oil fill hole for recycling. I've spent too much time on BITOG looking at extended oil change intervals.

What is the optimal oil change interval?

Which oil are you running? Please get an oil analysis from Blackstone when you change it. I'd love to see the results. Many of us change the oil due to fuel dilution more than the depletion of the additive package. At 20K there should be some solid data.

Replaced factory RT1252 with RT1258 today

My 2020 has a RT1252 as build. I purchased a RT1250 which is what I understand as the redesigned version. Would you still install this or just go for the RT1258?

What is the optimal oil change interval?

In my opinion, the XP is a poorly spec'd filter. It is designed for longer intervals (which I don't need with a 5K interval), and its filtration capability is poor. They are using larger micron filtration to offer extended life without clogging the filter and going to bypass, but that means that...

What is the optimal oil change interval?

I say 4000-5000 miles. If you know you short-tripped a lot, especially in cold temperatures then lean toward 4000. If you took a long road trip go to 5,000. Use a high quality synthetic like Penzoil Ultra Platinum, Mobil 1 ESP, HPL, Amsoil or something similar. Use a top quality filter...

2020 50K miles transmission rebuild under TSB 25-2023C

My 2020 Expy transmission was having many of the telltale signs that the 10R80 was not working as intended. -Hard engagement from park to reverse/drive -Clunky shifts between 5-3 on downshifts when decelerating. Problems started at ~37K, but I kept seeing Ford dragging their feet on really...

    Remote Start Use Questions

I'd say I use the fob 80% of the time if not more. Often I will start the truck with my fob when I am getting my kids shoes on before heading out the door or as we are walking up to the truck parked. The app is great at the beach when the interior is hot to give the AC a change to cool it...

    New owner questions

Depending on your needs: #1 A good set of floor mats. These make cleaning the vehicle out of sand, stones, mud etc VERY easy. Maxliner Husky TuxMat WeatherTech #2 Ford makes a great liner for the rear of the vehicle depending on if you have a normal length or Max. This is great no matter...

Change in engine sound after oil change and engine flush

Are you sure that you have the proper oil level? Did you use approved oil of the correct grade? Did the tech put the underbelly pan back on the vehicle? What you may be experiencing is the effect of oxidative thickening of the old oil. This can sometimes reduce some sounds but it can make...

    Extended warranty Portfolio warranty company

Are you trying to have the warranty work performed at the dealership that you purchased the Portfolio plan from? When I purchased my Expy I purchased their plan. A few months later I checked on what a Ford ESP would cost and and it was about $1K more. I asked the dealership to cancel the plan...

    Coolant Leak

I have a leak too but nowhere near that bad. A few quarts every ~4 miles. Crusty coolant stains under the water pump but maybe elsewhere too. At the dealer currently but it's also in for the transmission.

I look forward to your update. I would question how this video was compressed by YouTube because even that quality doesn't look anything like what 2K should look like.

    Differential Fluids

I see how Ford changed the spec to a thinner viscosity for mileage. The Ford spec is not available in many places and Ford is charging more than Amsoil. You can get Mobil 1 Synthetic 75W-90 for ~$9/qt vs. Ford spec is ~$21+ and it takes ~5 quarts.

    Differential Fluids

I'm at the 50K mile mark and looking to change a couple of the other fluids in the truck such as differential gear oil. The manual calls for 75W-85 for the front and rear differentials. I was a bit surprised since the early 2010's F-150's spec'd 75W-140 gear oil for the rear differential...

Replacing 2nd row Seat belt buckle

On my Expy the plastic around the female part of the 2nd row seat belt buckles has broken apart. This is the part with the little explosive that tensions the belt. I was told this was covered by my ESP but I would like to stay out of the ESP for deductible reasons at this point. Is this...

    Spark plugs

My Taurus has the non-eco-boost 3.5L and uses the same plugs as our Ecoboost motors. I just put them in at ~127K miles and felt an big difference between the WELL worn plugs.

Confirm PN for 2020 3.5EB Spark Plugs and Diff/TCase Oil

You asked a few questions: Spark plugs: I am planning to use the NGK Ruthenium plugs when I change mine in the spring. Transfer case uses Mercon LV. From Rock Auto its ~$6 per quart and you need ~2 quarts. Differentials take 75W-85 which is little odd. The Motorcraft fluid is expensive...
