Intake gasket differences???
I'm ordering gaskets for my used engine I'm swapping in... It's out of a 97 and when I look up the intake gaskets it asks if it's a before or after 7-20-97 engine??? I'm not sure of the manufacturer date on this engine... What are the differences in the gaskets??- Joshua Eachen

Melted spark plug
This is my #6 plug out of my 97 5.4...cylinder was and is dead/very weak. Compression in the 35ish psi range give or take a few. Never have I seen a plug melt completely away like that.- Joshua Eachen

To pull the head or swap in a used engine???
Cyl #6 is dead/very weak... Compression check on 5 and 7 come up 145ish give or take a few! #6 however had a whole 32 psi. Has spark has fuel. I just bought it... 97 XLT 5.4 225k miles. Changed plugs and coils. All the plugs were burnt up pretty bad, not to mention there were 3 different...- Joshua Eachen
