Drivers side catalytic converter replacement
What is the reason why it needs to be changed? Code? I had an injector go and it took out the right bank cat, code PO420. Got vehicle to pass Ma. inspection, found direct fit as low as $400 from walker @ AutoZone. I'm not going to replace right now, just driving it.- RTX 17

Ah thanks now I see. So yes with the PO420 code only, my cat is def. no good, but by adding the extender will get rid of the CEL. ok. Next question it's not rocket science to install the o2 extender? A local autoZone has them. Does it have to be drilled and tapped or does it go in one of the O2...- RTX 17

Yes this same code keeps coming back. So I'm assuming that the right bank which is the side that the injector failed on is not doing it's job now and needs to be replaced OR it may be just the O2 sensor? So it's the rear sensor to start with correct? Doug- RTX 17

Question is what caused it? Fuel injector? I had that happen to me, and it caused the front right bank cat to spit up a code. Put in the new injector and I am driving the car for now and not replacing the cat. Ford wants over $1000, and you can get an aftermarket Walker for anywhere from...- RTX 17

Squeak in rear suspension

Roof rails
Sierra, looking at your pic from your 03 they are different than my 05's side rails. the cross rails that go on mine actually slide through a channel on the inside of the side rails, not on top. Doug- RTX 17

Roof rails
From what I can see, the 03-04 roof rails are different from the 05-06's. The e-bay rails look to be for a pre 05, not sure though. Doug- RTX 17

Squeak in rear suspension
There are coil overs but from what I can see, no all is stock on this 05. I sprayed all the bushings that I could see last night with some Armorall/water mix in a spray bottle to no avail. To me the sound seems to be coming from the shock travel area/ Probably need to get it up on a lift or...- RTX 17

Ok I was outside when my wife drove in the driveway and I heard a loud squeak or squeal coming from the rear suspension area, kind of like the way leaf springs will creak.
