Just replaced my water pump 2017 3.5 ltr. It leaks and runs under the intake to the transmission and with the belly pan you never see it . My service guy caught it while oil change , it did have a little belt rattle when 2st started but I had chalked it up to cold .. anyway all good now !
I have heard of these , Its a Hydrogen Emmitter...LOL sorta like the old Magnet on the fuel line trick to add Gasmileage. My vote is to remove it before it starts a FIRE!!

Hey Mindgame , thanks I mean if the front axle is suposed to be live all the time I guess i will get used to it but it just seems that in 2H the axle shouldnt turn, What is the use in having the transfer case if it doesnt unlock the front axle?

Nope the hubs are free ( they lock in and out with the switch 4H 4L) the front axle stays live even in 2 L. Thats got me thinking the Auto 4 wd is stuck any ideas on for to " unstick It"?
So did you remove the metal parts to paint ?
For some reason the previouse owner left the plastic wrap on mine. and 2 of the four are permanantly welded to thelm and two are bad rusted.

I Think this is the same Issue I am Having, So any help from any one? What is this? IWE solenoid? where is it and how can i fix/ replace it. I have already changed the transfercase moter ( no joy ) so If i find a fix first I will post it here too.
