    Programmer ?'s

bertro - let me know how that Superchips Flashpaq works out for you - I also have an 04 5.4 and am trying to get my mpg up... I installed an airaid throttle body spacer and saw a 1.2 mpg increase consistently... put in a volant CAI and it made no difference as of yet (have put 2 tanks of gas...

Volant standard CAI vs. Volant Powercore CAI

So ive gone through 2 tanks of gas with the volant - definitely some increased response and sound, which is fun, but no increase in MPG at all... on the first tank of gas my MPG actually went down, I attribute this to me driving more aggressively because it is fun with the boost and new...

Volant standard CAI vs. Volant Powercore CAI

I got a good deal on a volant powercore CAI, installed it this weekend... fit well with only minor tweaking (had to flip and bend the mounting bracket) due to having installed an airaid throttle body spacer a couple weeks ago. With the TBS I got a 1.2 mpg increase, and a little bump in...

    throttle body spacers

SG - Im happy with it - I've gotten a 1.2 mpg increase with the Airaid. A little boost in performance as well. If you install it, you might have to turn the bracket that mounts the volant box to the fender well upside down now that it will be forward some with the throttle body spacer...

    throttle body spacers

FOLLOW UP: I purchased and installed the airaid throttle body spacer... I went from 11.8 mpg, to 13.2 - tested with 2 tanks of gas. Since I drive 600 miles per week, it will pay for itself in no time - haha! Response feels a little better as well. Next is a good tune up (I just got the...

    throttle body spacers

Thanks! Airaid was actually the one I was looking at...! I plan to put in a CAI as well, would probably do both at the same time... researching those as well. I had a Fram in my other truck, but trying to figure out what would be best in the expedition. Then down the line I'll start...

I just picked up an 04 Expo XLT. I know that they come with 17" rims, but what size rim/tire can I go up to without having to lift the truck? Basically, I'm in the market for a new set of rims (black) and tires and want to know what options I have. I like the look of smaller rims with...
