Trying to do just that. Thing is when you open the hood, the battery and window washer reservoir, which are right beside the fender are not as hot. I was thinking that the exhaust pipes might have come loose and leaking fumes into the drivers side engine bay.

I have a 04 EB 5.4L. Ive noticed that after driving for about an hour, while the hood and driver side front fender understandably gets warm, the driver side front fender becomes extremely hot that you cannot lay your hand on it for more than a few seconds.
Is this normal? Should I be worried...
I have a Volant CAI (different model) on my 2004 EB, and it doesn't make any noise. I was thinking of running a hose from the bottom if the CAI box to the fender a second source of cooler air.

I have a 2004 Eddie B Expy with 60k on the odometer. Lately, when going uphill, it shifts out of 1st gear but doesn't immediately go into 2nd. As a result, the engine revs go up. I will let go of the gas, and after a second or two the tranny will engage. On level ground, the Expy runs normal...
