2006 with low rpm idle....what is it?
What's MAF? CEL works bc it threw a #2 coil pack a few months back, worked then and continues to come on when I crank it or it dies. Spark plugs changed at 125k. All coil packs changed around September. Fuel filter too. Will clean the TB next weekend.- rwinsouthla

2006 with low rpm idle....what is it?
Hey y'all, I have a 2006 5.4L Expedition with 160,000 miles. It starts fine and runs fine while cruising at any speed. But when I slow down for a light or stop sign, it goes to crazy low idle speeds and sometimes dies, hot/cold/rain/shine. Start it back up and in park, no issues but put it...- rwinsouthla

Questions about switching oils due to high mileage
^^+1 for the reply Whack. Thanks very much. On you question about hauling stuff...nah. Pretty much daily driver 80 mile round trip at 55-60 mph, very few stops, and I start/stop very gingerly. code is cleared. I cleared it with my code reader, and then decided for grins to take the battery cable off and let that drain the memory. Here it is a week later and I just checked with my reader and the systems have all been reset, meaning I drove it enough and there are no codes pending...- rwinsouthla

Coil packs all changed!!! Plugs all changed!!! If anyone reads this in the future, make sure you rig up a shop vac or your wife's house vacuum with a piece of rigid plastic 1/2" tubing about 18" long to vacuum out the dust, leaves, and grime from around the plugs.
