I just put in a 350 amp alternator from a 99 super duty. (Still aftermarket?) Anyways, im having the same issue. Same codes and "check charging system" message. Will not charge more than 14 volts. Im doing the big 3\4 here this week, maybe that will do the trick? Looking forward to figuring this...
Wouldn't believe it... 4 Wheel Parts already takes their prices to a whole nother level... Ordee yourself a Daystar kit off ebay, clear up a Saturday and do it for under $100!
Is it a true whine? Kind of sounds like a supercharger (high pitch), then its most likely your alternator! Mine went today! Probably doesnt help with 3500 watt sound system, navigation, 55 watt hids, and KCs...
Does anyone know the "universality" of the tow hook holes? Can i grab the 12.99 hooks from o'reillys? Or do i need to spend $60-$80 on expy/f150 hooks?

Hmm, encounter any freezing weather? Ran mine up to colorado a year ago, to come back to have no dluid coming out. Turns out it froze over, and ruined pump/hoses. Considering im in San Antonio not mych cold weather prevention is taken. just a thought.
